apparently the hospital had taken 21 to 31 mentally ill peoplle out to show them a good time or they were on good behavior.. not heavily medicated..

it makes a story for the movies.someone is going to end up getting killed because of this mistake of stupidity..

That's pretty nuts. I've dealt with schizophrenics in a previous job I had at a psychiatric treatment facility. Not pleasant people to deal with. This could be bad, because most people could just treat him as a typical homeless guy (many of which are schizophrenics, which is a large part of why they are homeless), and ignore him, when he is actually a "criminally insane killer" just waiting for the voices to tell him to kill his next victim.

You know what makes this even more stupid on the part of the hospital?

If there is any truth to some of the reports that I have read that say he habitually attempts escape.
