Allow me to retort then. It was too broken up and chapter like. It wasn't GTA meets a Western, because there really wasn't that go anywhere do anything sandbox type game. I hope they change the formula more like that.

Red Dead, Mafia 2 Delays, Bioshock 2 Dated

The Take Two Second Fiscal Quarter Conference Call has literally just finished and as usual, the conference calls are a great source of information. Guess what? Today is no different! Huzzah!

Take Two announced that two of their bigger titles of the year, Red Dead Redemption and Mafia II, are now currently slated for the first half of their next financial year, instead of a fall 2009 release. The current window for release now currently sits from November 2009 and runs through till April 2010.

Other than the GTA IV DLC (The Ballad of Gay Tony) and release date slip news, Take Two also revealed that Bioshock 2 is currently slated for an October 31st release in Europe and a November 4th release in North America strengthening the beginning of their next financial year ten fold.

It's looking like November could be a busy month again ... Bioshock 2 on the 4th (or October 31st in Europe), Modern Warfare 2 on the 10th and even Assassin's Creed 2. It's refreshing to see that publishers have learnt from last year's mistakes.

With Take 2's track record I fully expect this one to be delayed again. Here's hoping it won't be.
