I hope you don't have to spend too much time hunting for food, etc. It was OK with Snake Eater I guess, but really, who wants to do that when playing an action game? I think we can suspend disbelief while playing, and not have to eat to avoid starvation, sleep at night (unless you use that as a saving mechanism), etc.

I don't think you can really describe this simply as an action game, that would be far more applicable to the likes of an Uncharted title. This is an open-world, sand-box type game.
Regarding health you'll probably only suppliment your health by hunting and it probably wouldn't even matter if you decided not to hunt at all.

I know this is a semantic issue, but I consider the GTA games action games. You drive, you fight. . .that's really it when you break it down. You can go where you want, shoot who you want, avoid the cops, etc., and you solve puzzles in a manner of speaking, but I think action best describes it. I get the same impression from this one. Riding on a horse, fighting, shooting animals. Whatever the motivation for those actions, that's what the character will be doing. I hope you are right about getting bonuses from the hunting, but not being required to do so.

I wonder if you can go into the woods pick up a hooker bear, then kill it and get your money back.

I hope so too. I hated that about GTA San Andreas. I hope it's optional. I'll definitely hunt for skill and $, but I just don't want to have to do it every day.

Those screens are great. Can't wait to start the SP but really the MP with my brothers. Time to show the MP world the Brotherhood means business. :rock

no  There are a couple in my area - but it's still a drive for me. I'm just going to pick it up Tuesday. I'm going into work early so I can hopefully get off around 3pm and crack this open. :D

Can't believe my PS3 is broke right when the biggest game of the year so far is coming out. FML.
