Between this and Alan Wake, I'm going to be out $120 tomorrow. Crap.

edit:

Oh cool! Can I use the $25 gift card immediately to pay for Alan Wake? Both games are out the same day. Would definitely help me save some scratch.

Careful, you might ask them first. The last couple of GC's I've received from TRU for various things had an activation period. Something like within 24 hours. They will tell you when you purchase or I'm sure you could call ahead and ask.

Just a heads up.

Thanks. In the worst case scenario I can just go back the next day and pick up Alan Wake. I'm sure Red Dead will easily keep me busy.

I would really like to finish Red Dead Redemption, but Im worried that I probably won't. It's the open world aspect. Sometimes a game is so long I eventually forget about it. Unfortunately, I rarely spend a couple of hours every other day playing a game. My track record of beating long, open world games is pretty dismal. :lol I've played a lot, but the last one I really finished was Spider-Man 2 back in the previous console generation.

Game is pretty damn fun... I suck at riding the stupid horse.. and have already lost two in gun fights... They provide excellent shield though...

Anyone on the PS3 got the warhorse or Deadly Assassin code? I'll share you my golden guns code if you share the warhorse code with me. I think we can do it, it works with other PS3 game codes.

I worry about that, as well. I can't devote extended periods of time to playing video games, so unless I stick strictly to the storyline, I'll probably never get this game finished. I barely even started GTA IV. But I had to get this one, anyway. My love of westerns is too strong, and the reviews were too overwhelmingly positive.

Are you 100% sure about that? The only multi-use codes I'm aware of are the ones posted on Playstation Home for limited edition virtual items, and even those can only be used a set number of times before becoming invalid.

I have yet to hear of a single bonus content code that can be redeemed more than once. But stranger things have happened...

Well, I've put a few hours in already.

A few thoughts
-----------------
-Aiming is hard.
-I think the DLC is a cop-out, you still have to do quests to unlock the Deadly Assassin outfit.
-This is essentially a re-skinned GTA game.
-Lassoing stuff is fun. . . herding cattle is not.
-I'm only a few hours in and there's already a bunch of fetch-quests, Survivalist, Marksman, Animal Hunter, Treasure Hunter.

i did it with little big planet kratos codes and a couple others that i cant think of right now. From what i hear, each code has a few 'uses' before it is disabled. doesnt hurt to try?

PS: this game is pretty damn fun...controls are a little touchy but nothing too bad.
