It does annoyingly look really good. I really need to think before ordering this though. Do I really want it

So do you think the Green will have 3 heads then? An extra extra head as the exclusive? That would make everyone happy...

No. Knowing SSC, they'll stick to the 2 that were previewed. One of the 2 head sculpts shown will be the EX version.

man, they really did an outstanding job on the red one. If that exclusive red portait came with the green I would have definately ordered.

I don't know the story behind the Grey Hulk at all, or why he seems to be the prime choice of the three! Anyone care to inform me? :) There's also a lot of...well, dislike for Rulk...any particular reason?

Personally, if I had the money to spare willy nilly, I'd definitely get Rulk out of the three -- and that's knowing very little about the character. The sculpt just looks completely badass! Both headsculpts, in fact! I actually really like the sly, evil grin...but if I were to order, I think the bonus HS as the EX is just too good to pass up. Hate when they do that :)

you just answered your own question right there. Basically, if a movie is crappy, I'm not buying statues of that crappy character in that crappy movie no matter how awesome the sculpt looks. This could just be my opinion though. If you know nothing of the character, maybe it makes it easier to buy a statue of the character regardless of whether that character just isn't that cool. So, for you, maybe it is the best hulk for you to buy. For me, I'm going grey all the way...

I should add that I do think the head sculpts on red look great. Just not interested in this version on hulk.

"The grey Hulk persona "Joe Fixit" was introduced, a morally ambiguous Las Vegas enforcer and tough guy." From Wikipedia.

Hulk trying to be a "normal guy" with a J O B. Grey Hulk was very on par with the Thing in terms of size, strength, mouth and without a lot of the daddy anger issues at the forefront. One version, the "original" you could say, that stuck around for a time and had a definite following.

That's different. Haha

Hulk started out grey, and more like a werewolf type thing. Transforming at night and running a muck. Then one day when the comics were being printed, there was a color printing mistake and he kept coming out in shades of green. They liked it better.

Stan lee originally wanted hulk to be grey since it was the only color he could thing of that wouldn't "belong to a race or ethnicity"

Just got the laptop out to have a proper look at Rulk. Does nothing for me.
Unless the Grey comes out better I'll be sticking with the Maquette and G.

Yes, even though hulk was originally grey it was for a very short time. Joe was basically the Grey version of Hulk with any sort of a real ongoing story. Not exactly the same, but still grey hulk just the same and not green.

GREY...
Grey Hulk is the original Hulk. Stan lee wanted the Hulk to be grey but due to ink problems, Hulk's color was changed to green. This was explained by saying that the grey Hulk persona and the green Hulk persona are battling in banner's sub-conscious. Due to his superior strength, green Hulk aka savage Hulk, won most of the time thus showing the savage Hulk persona more often. His cunning is unmatched by the other hulk personas. He also went to vegas and was often the Grey Hulk and wore suits and Top hats and carried around a Tommy gunmarking the start of a 12-year tenure. David's run altered Banner's pre-Hulk characterization and the nature of the relationship between Banner and the Hulk. David returned to the Stern and Mantlo abuse storyline, expanding the damage caused, and depicting Banner as suffering dissociative identity disorder (DID). David's stories showed that Banner had serious mental problems long before he became the Hulk. David revamped the personality significantly, giving the gray Hulk the alias "Joe Fixit," and setting him up as a morally ambiguous Las Vegas enforcer and tough guy.

Identity Basis: This incarnation represents the personality that can do all the not so nice things that Bruce was to unsure of to do himself. Tricky, manipulative, shows little thought of others make up some of his traits.Strength: This incarnation can lift approximately 75 tons. This incarnation does possess the "madder he gets, the stronger he gets" ability but at a much slower rate since this incarnation has some level of intelligence and reasoning and would not "lose control" as easy as the Savage Hulk incarnation. Height: 6 feet 6 inchesWeight: 900 lbsEyes: Gray Hair: Black Intelligence: Normal .Transformation: Initially, Bruce would transform into the Grey Hulk at night and then back at dawn. This was subconscious due to the fact that Bruce was ashamed of the dark, not very nice thoughts the Grey Hulk represented and would only let him out at night, in the dark, where he wouldn't be seen. Later, the change was due to will power.

Truth!

IMHO the pose only works for the Rulk... Green and grey looks odd.

No doubt the pose and body works best for this Rulk.

Can't imagine this head in that pose.

I don't mind a kirby look like original hulk PF, but that head just doesn't work with this pose.

Thanks to all who responded, and I hope I didn't miss anyone. I likely did. Like Collectorcol! But that was a huge quote, so I'll just thank you here lol

That's pretty interesting! So it's like...a throwback of sorts...interesting. It's true though! If Rulk is a horrible character, then I guess it makes sense why people may hate on him. I can't justify any of the money at this point for these guys! I just meant if I had the funds to PO more than a handful a year like some...Rulk is just a really strong sculpture overall! It's something that would demand the attention of your eye when you entered the room. I'm sure they all will...I just really love the head sculpts on Rulk :) Really great job on those!
