It's possible but I doubt it. Cap is clearly Steve in the movie. Bucky is the Winter Soldier. Anyone who watches the movie has no reason to see Bucky as Cap. The Bucky Cap is just going to go down as one of those event moments in comics. Kinda like Doc Ock as Superior Spidey, Azrael as Bats, John Walker as Cap, etc....
Bottom line, Steve Rogers IS Captain America. Anyone else in the costume will always be a cheap gimmick or substitute. That all said, I like Bucky as a character and I think he ROCKS as the Winter Soldier.

Superior Spider-Man has been downright entertaining, but I get what you're saying. When doc Ock took over Spidey, you knew it was temporary because Spidey is Peter Parker and vice versa.

Yeah, I'm not saying that all of the stories featuring subs suck. I'm just saying that these stories have a shelf life and the OGs are going to reclaim the mantle at some point. Steve Rogers is Cap, Bruce Wayne is Bats, Peter Parker is Spider-Man, etc....

If I'm paying $400+ for a statue of a character I like, I'm looking for the lead dog not some sub. Hell, I'm still looking to add a 1/4 classic Cap to my collection. There's no way that Bucky Cap is going to fill that bill. However, I'd be very interested in a well done Winter Soldier PF. I really dig that version of the character.

It may happen. Usually if you jump on this late, you'll have to wait until around the time a piece ships to see if there are any conversions. Peeps that jumped on early will convert for sure. I have already seen a few peeps post that they converted. Good luck.

I had to have this piece. It's a fantastic version of the Red Skull and the EX on this piece is fabulous. I only need a handful of must have villains in the Marvel U (Apocalypse, Thanos, Green Goblin, Magneto, Dr Doom, and Red Skull). This RS PF fits the bill nicely and I already have Apocalypse on PO. I'm hoping for a full reveal of the new Dr Doom PF that has been sneaked. After that, a Mags, Thanos, and a new GG PF will finish off my Marvel baddies.

Worse case scenario regarding RS is I'll just get the Reg. RS, Doom, Loki, Magneto & Thanos are my most wanted villains but that's not including any Spidey villains but I'm hoping SS make them in 1/5 now to go with the new Spiderman CQ

You know what's funny? I'm not even a Kirby fan and I think the EX looks killer. Kirby's work just looks so dated to me. I passed on the original Hulk PF because I hated the face portrait and the Kirby look to it. However, the Kirby portrait on RS looks fantastic IMO. That all said, the REG portrait on RS looks great as well. I can totally see peeps opting to display that portrait and picking up a REG edition of the PF. The best part about this piece...regardless of what portrait you choose, this will be an awesome looking PF.

Yeah but if I can't get it I can't have it. It's my fault for leaving it so late so if I do miss out which is likely now, then I've only got myself to blame but still the Reg is still a real nice piece so either way I'll have a RS PF.

I'll keep an eye out for the Ex on eBay if I do miss out but it's normally hard chasing down PF's living in Europe

Dude dont worry man, im sure you'll convert. There will be a lot of drop outs as well as those who's cards screw em over. Either way you'll get it. I have confidence. Same here though EX or Fail

No artist has been more important to the comic industry. I truly do understand the love and admiration for the man and his work. I like a more realistic look to my characters. I think the artwork nowadays is leaps and bounds better than it was in the the 50s and 60s. I also like my statues looking the same way. The nice thing is that SSC seems to be willing to give us both modern and old school looks with there merch. On rare occasion I even like the old school look better. That is certainly the case with the EX Rhino COM Romita looking head and the Kirby looking portrait on this RS. Overall though, I'm a big fan of how the art in comics have taken a major leap forward from the Kirby era.

OK, I got you now. As much as I didn't like the Kirby influence on the Hulk PFs portrait, I think it looks killer on the Red Skull. SSC did a fantastic job on both portraits and I'll definitely be switching them up from time to time.

I jumped on the WL for RS about a week after it sold out. I just converted recently. It was a calculated decision. I knew I would convert down the road. However, I was able to get my Superman PF down to my last flex payment and my Harley PF only has 2 more to go. That opened the door for me to squeeze in RS. Normally I don't play the WL game. If I KNOW I want a piece I just PO it the day it goes up. However, this year I have a lot more POs than I usually do. So, I went ahead and wait listed RS to juggle some $$$. I usually only buy about 3 pieces a year from SSC. In the past year though I'm on the hook for Supes, Harley, Red Skull, Apocalypse, Wonder Woman, and I just got my Bats PF. 6 pieces is double what I usually get. It's the addition of the DC license that is playing havok with my wallet. And it's not over yet...Catwoman is another PF I'm almost certain I'll be adding to the collection. SSC has released some incredible stuff over the last year and they are showing no signs of slowing down.

Holy crap lol. I thought I was bad. I remember when I had PO'd Supes and I would see some guys and the POs they had and id think to myself that's crazy. The sheer amount of money seemed nuts to me. However a great wife some great PO choices and flexpay changed all of that really quickly. I know, with all the maybes plus Star Wars stuff ill either have to just stop for a but or sell or lol just keep going. In two more years my house will have settled and I can start renovating my basement to accomodate eveeything. I think im going to create a custom glass display for all my PFs so it looks like youve walked into a museum. Cannot wait.
