Don't know why.

Even the most unskilled painted could do a black mod, not for me though.

The only thing that bugs me about this is theres no skin colour between the links. Would take hours of work to do that though.

Well technically that's because this isn't true chainmail. They're using almost a variation of Scalemail except the pieces don't overlap.

I can actually teach anyone how to do that in less than 10minutes. It's really not that difficult. Color change is easy. It's background and foreground manipulation that can be a pain when you're dealing with lighting.
