We all know SS is not going to deliver a proto paint app. Just not going to happen. For the prices they charge I don't blame them. Just my opinion. Spidey CQ and Apoc were a crap shoot at best but I don't get all the hate for Sonya. If you own anything SS has produced you know it's not going to be on par with the prototype. There will be minimal differences. We all know this!!! For 400 bucks I think Sonya looks dope as hell!!!! Hope i don't get flamed for this. If SS does a shoddy paint app with poor quality like Apoc and Spidey were I'll light my torch and join the anger but from what I have seen Sonya looks damn good. Stay calm and let's see her in hand guys. She might just be awesome! Even with the changes. Gladiator Hulk was

I'm with you man. Too be honest if I REALLY want, maybe in a few years I'll have her repainted like the proto, but for now I love her and hope we all get some really great pieces bar none!

XM does prototype quality for their statues. They look brilliant. They also cost double a sideshow PF. You want pro paint? Get a custom paint job or buy XM's marvel line. For 400 shipped bro this is what your going to get from SS. Unrealistic expectations? No bro. However how many times do you have to put your hand on the stove before you realize it's fecking hot. SS doesn't deliver on proto quality. You knew this before you ordered her. If you didn't then this must be your first SS purchase. SS is the most economicaly priced company out there. They're not perfect. Like I said man. Of there are marks, chips, huge unsightly issues then I condone burning the thread down. But your acting so surprised ghat this doesn't look like something a professional painter did. And we all knew before hand it wasn't going to. It's nothing new. Your somewhat nieve if you thought this was going to look exactly identical to the prototype. And you don't have to take it man. Just cancel your order or send it back.
Yes this is my first Sideshow 1/4 scale piece I will receive. Only other 2 of anything from Sideshow I have are Mary Jane and a Maul Mythos both of which I had to get replacements for.
While so far their application appears very accurate, with the exception of Magneto I don't like XMs paintjobs.
However all my items from Pop Culture Shock, Mcfarlane, Kotobukiya, Bowen, Gentle Giant, C.S. Moore, even SYCO do faithfully represent the pictures used to sell their product and almost all items cost less than Sideshow's.
While so far their application appears very accurate, with the exception of Magneto I don't like XMs paintjobs.
However all my items from Pop Culture Shock, Mcfarlane, Kotobukiya, Bowen, Gentle Giant, C.S. Moore, even SYCO do faithfully represent the pictures used to sell their product and almost all items cost less than Sideshow's.

Lol well bro sorry to hear that this is your first experience. I'm not trying to egg you on. More along the lines of just setting realistic expectations of what to expect. Everyone has lashed out at SS because of stuff like this but it's the norm so you can either accept your not getting prototype quality and see what the finished product looks like in hand before you spend your money or you can just not buy it because of how they advertise their products. I get it man. I really do but I've been buying SS for awhile. They generally do a good job on their stuff. There's always exceptions to the rule of course but knowing that info prior to ordering will save you a ton of headache. As for XMs paint apps. How many have you seen bro? Lol The paint quality is sick. Alot of peeps don't like the facial sculpts or the prices but from a photo of proto to what you actually get in your hands. There's no difference
And for MJ. She was a rare gem. Looked exactly like the proto. So did Gwen. Then look at spiderman.. Not even in the same ballpark.
All I'm saying bro is we know these aren't going to come out perfect but you should see Sonya in hand before making final judgement.

Queen of the Dead PF was production at SDCC. It seems they can match the proto when they want to....
QoD is also there own, they'd have a lot more to lose if she wasnt

Alot of margin that is! No licensing fees. Top dollar price tag. Of course these were going to be SSs best. This is their baby. Drives me nuts cause I have 0 interest in the line and I'd rather those efforts go into their marvel line (selfishly) but I get why they're doing it
