Sky is Falling emotional responses aside, there is a legitimate complaint here that shouldn't be overlooked, even as the haters are gleefully mocked: Sonja's much-loved paint scheme conception presented to buyers for over a year was significantly altered at the eleventh hour for no apparent reason other than capriciousness. This wasn't a case of prototype quality vs. mass-produced compromises, but of changing the color scheme from a normal, healthy skin tone to an inexplicably darker, grayer, shadowed approach, which many fans have correctly termed "back from the dead" Sonja skin. The absence of red lips (for red-headed Red Sonja, no less!) adds to this tanned-yet-cadaverous coloring approach, which requires "painting with light" to look healthy -- and it has to be sunlight or traditional electric light, which is yellowish, as bright WHITE light will reveal the unfortunate purple/bronzed skin color too accurately (see the besta Sonja posted here a few pages back). Frankly, buyers shouldn't have to "complete" the paint job themselves with proper lighting effects; the painted colors should make sense to begin with, as they did with the prototype. All this said, I absolutely love this statue, right out of the box, odd skin tone and ghoulish shading included. But I would have loved it twice as much if they hadn't changed the advertised color scheme into something less appealing. We can only pray that the upcoming Wonder Woman statue remains true to the vibrant, healthy-looking coloring approach featured in the prototype -- no last minute changes to spooky skin color and shadowing, please!

Oh man she's the worst Lol. On the real though I LOVE her. The tan makes all her curves that much "curvier". The base is amazing, love the helmet. Cape is beautiful and adds so much presence and elegance to the scene. Love the flown of her hair, her belt and other accessories, the EX head is awesome and of that 'ol t&a is all exactly where it needs to be

Yeah I sent them the pics again yesterday. They said they didn't get it the first time. Should hear back in a couple of days. This is the second time I'm dealing with this rep and the first time they weren't so quick to respond to me. Took close to 2 weeks to resolve an issue with my MKVI LSB.Good to hear Jedi. My Red Sonja came in!!! Surprised fedex does deliveries on Sundays. Not quite sure what to make of the skin tone. First statue I've had where the colour really changes with lighting. On one hand it looks greyish but in natural light it looks white-ish and yellow light it looks like it has a tan. Don't think I've had a single statue that does that. Weird, but the sculpt and everything else is great. I'm surprised this came with very little flaws. There's bits here and there but not gonna bother complaining.

Could it use a skin tone/eyes repaint? Probably. But in a world of gotch-eyed gals and green jacketed Indy's....this is the best offering I've seen from SS.
I'm proud of those hippies. Great work. Displayed next to other PF's it steals the show.
They've priced me out of the 1/6 game, but if they can keep the PF line on par with this I'll stick around for the occasional purchase.
