Independent. Although I do like Obama better....McCain did say something awesome at the convention though....how the Republicans screwed up. I liked him saying that. I just dont really like Palin....why? I dont know....just something about her bugs the crap out of me.

I think this is a great poll. And don't see any reason for it to get locked unless people start in with their views instead of just taking the poll. I would like to see that ratio between the two parties here on this board. Maybe he can edit INDEPENDENT into the poll too to be fair.

I'm just trying to see if I'm offbase about Republicans being a minority here. Independant, though accurate for some, would throw a monkey wrench in my poll. If everyone is voting honestly the party they most agree with, then I am totally wrong with my assumptions.

For the record, I'll probably "throw away my vote" and vote Ron Paul in the upcoming election. He stands for more that I believe in now than any of the available candidates.

Edit: or not. We'll see what the next two months brings.

Biggest problem(s) I have with my own party:
- resistance to EMBRYONIC stem cell research
- Woman's right to choose
- Gay Marriage (who cares if two women or men want to marry, doesn't affect me in the least)
- Religious bias (i.e. teaching creationism)- "I'm a scientist man, back off."

Everything else I agree with, but these issues I just don't approve of in the hardline conservative stance.


Again, this is my own party I'm dissing, so hopefully drama can be kept to a minimum.

Im tossed about making it public. Some may not want the party they are affiliated with known. But because it's not public, people may not vote honestly how they stand.
