Is the dialogue slow enough to read and are a lot of the basic bugs fixed?

Some bugs were apparently fixed in one of the patches. One of the creators is putting together scripted scenes and put a video of it and it does look slower to read.

To anyone who has wanted information of this failed games development. The crew that put together this WIP build of the game on The Horror is Alive forum made a comprehensive timeline of it's development and scrapping and also how they came across the copy of the unfinished game. It's an interesting read for anyone who's been involved with RE since PSX.

I haven't been following. Will this ever be out?

I've been fine tuning the classic RE games on the EPSXE emulator, they look miles and miles better than what they did on consoles. I can't even play them on my PS3 anymore, it's that bad.

I haven't been following it until yesterday, but the only thing released was the trial edition of it. But you can warp to every section of the game in the debug menu. The final version was said to be out sometime this year, but I doubt it.

I'm at work so I can't read much, but I never knew of Resident Evil: Dash and it's set in the ruins of the Spencer Mansion ruins... that sounds awful

It's a shame that 70% of the equipment that was in 1.5 didn't make it into RE2. Although I think you would be overpowered in RE2 if you kept body armor and more item slots. If you ever played the 1.5 WIP, there was multiple shotguns, rifles and pistols.

It sucks Capcom never released this after RE2.
