I'm surprised a third party company hasn't made any figures from either remake.

It's because Damtoys has the license for the remake, unless Damtoys completely drops the license no one will even bother making 1/6 remake figures as they would just get a cease and desist. I could see Asmus doing them if Damtoys doesn't make anything since they already have the DMC license.

I must admit I just 'discovered' RE: Deadly Silence and love it

Loving the original I wished they expanded RC and the storyline.... it?s not a bad ?remake? but it needed more content. Yes, the original was short but why not take advantage of that and make a superior remake like REmake. Anyway, I don?t see myself replaying it anytime soon. We should get some UBCS DLC or something.

i dont get it. You got the platinum trophy. That means you played the game at least 3 times as you need to unlock nightmare by finishing hardcore, and inferno by finishing nightmare and you need to finish inferno in order to get a trophy. You also collected all the files, weapon upgrades, got all of the other random ones... Including S ranking inferno...

So you finished inferno mode on your first go with an S rank? I dont get how you can not see yourself replaying a game you must of done like 8 times using guides and grinding to get bonus points from the side objectives in order to buy items like the infinite rocket launcher which is the only away you can get an S rank on hardcore, with a fast time and no saving.

If you said you had played the game for 60 hours and you cant see yourself playing it anytime soon i get it. Not " i cant see myself replaying it any time soon " when you have at least completed it 3 times and even then its taking into account you had to get an S rank on the hardest difficulty.

See I just wished you'd clarify more. You said you wouldnt play it again, but im on like my 7th play through and i havent got platinum. I just completed the game on nightmare after like 5 nights of trying legit using the dodge mechanic that sucks against the final boss that even when having the Chris redfield cqc book, 2 regen coins, and 2 damage absorbing coins if he hits you once he combos you anyway and you die. I just grinded in order to get infinite rocket launcher so i can play inferno. Your " i cant see myself playing it again " made it sound like you only did it 1 or 2 times. After trying myself to get all the trophies the flippantness of that comment urks me. This game is hard AF to get all the trophies.

Got a Nintendo DS for $30 and the game for the same. Its worth it, IMO. Apparently a 3DS plays DS too, which is cool. Gaiden, with original package, goes for money. Disk itself, not as much

I was blown away by the RE2 remake. RE3 is incomplete. As much as I enjoyed what they gave us, they could have done a much better job. So, yeah, RE4 remake sounds problematic. And I really feel like it holds up just fine.

Agreed. That would make more sense. But after seeing how much was cut out of RE3, can't help but wonder if they will deliver more of the same: short remake.

Nothing stopping new players from playing RE4 now. Granted, the controls are a bit out-dated, but nothing like RE: Code Veronica X

Yes RE4 Was robustly horrifying and even the sound score was scary. I would not be happy with just cuts with just Easter egg reminders. The first time I played that game it felt like a world with layers of horror that just kept coming. Classic and nothing like that game can come close.

Wasn't it a couple of weeks ago where Capcom were saying they were working on another title, but the decisions they were making on it would tick off a lot of people and make happy others...? I forget. It would be interesting if they were working on Resident Evil 4, but it's nothing like the Resident Evil 4 we all know.

A resident evil 4 remake will never replace the original, I agree the original still holds up and it's one of my favourites but I think a resident evil 4 remake would still be an awesome game and deserves to be remade being as good as it is, I'm all for it.

with the rumours of resident evil 8 being a direct sequel to 7 with Ethan taking the series in a new direction makes me want Capcom to continue doing remakes even past 4 so we get something new and different experiences with the sequels and something new yet familiar with the remakes. This approach will also allow us to get games more frequently since they can have multiple teams working different projects.

There was also a leak before it was leaked that it was resident evil 4 specifically saying the next remake will be a much larger project that resident evil 3, so that sounds reassuring if they was referencing 4.

not sure if I want a remake of 5, but hopefully if 4 sells well they will follow it up with code veronica or maybe even a second remake of the original.
