I guess im in the minority here, I think the MT Ada is the worst of the 3.

Thats what I was thinking too. The SW and SD versions actually both look better in likeness.
But screw it, I'll probably get all of them. Ada's hot af. Lol

I do have to say the hairsculpt on MT looks a bit weird and sloppy. Like too long on the left side. Hopefully they tweak it before release.

Here’s my pro’s and cons list of these brands.

- SuperDuck: good quality clothes, headsculpts usually look too “anime” for my liking, a bit overpriced, absurd long wait for release. Overall good quality products.

- SWToys: Best sculpt likeness, quality of the figure is usually a mixed bag, they mess up the proportions of accessories and sometimes even heads are undersized. Clothing will sometimes be inaccurate material, will have the wrong color and aren’t properly tailored to the body (looking at you Lara 3.0). Below par paint quality on the faces almost no skin texture. Products release fast but are usually rushed. Cheaper than most figures.

- MTToys: Nice quality paint, clothing is well made and well tailored, sculpts aren’t always the most accurate but the paint quality usually makes up for it. Little accessories. Overall quality is good, not amazing, but good. You know what you can expect. Average pre order wait time.

As you can see I’m heavily biased towards MTToys just based on my previous experiences with the brand. I don’t think I’ll ever buy anything SW releases after they completely messed up Lara 1, 2 and 3. All pretty horrible releases with major issues.

That’s my issue with swtoys they’re so inconsistent with their final product I end up swapping a lot parts from the original figure. I’m going with MTToys just because I do like their products more but I do hope they change Ada’s hair. That’s one of my complaints with the sculpt. I’m still keeping my SD preorder since their clothing can work with other bodies so I’m not restricted unlike swtoys undersized sculpts and clothes.

SD sculpt is usually on the pretty side. heavy makeup and cute face.

I wish companies would straight out say which figure release its their last from a certain license.

I don't want to be wrong but I remember RRX saying he thinks Damtoys WOULD make Leon but MT IS making him. So we have 1 "confirmed"... When I have time I will search that comment, however it's crazy to think no one else is making Leon if the rumor of Damtoys stopping at Ada is true. Wouldn't make any sense everyone wants Leon. Hell I personally saved up for 4 Leon's no matter the cost.

Maybe Damtoys are making him but slow so thays why nobody is making him. I'm always patient with everything I have on PO but idk I always wanted Leon so seeing nothing from no one makes me really sad tbh..

However I really don't want MT to half ass this release and give us 2 pistols and a typewriter. If they really are making him go all in for f sake!

Tbh, I like the Nendoroid. The art looks adorable and if the figure looks like that I'll get it. But yeah, I definitely would prefer a regular 1/6 figure.

The original announcement by Damtoys was only for RE2R and in the product description for Ada they say that’s the end of the Resident Evil 2 line.

I can see most third party companies taking a wait and see what damn does approach but the fact we haven’t seen anything outside of RE2 from Dam is a concern!

Hopefully we see some official 1/6 figures in the future even if it’s not by Damtoys… tho I am unfamiliar with the licensing situation so I don’t even know if that’s possible atm.

Definitely preordering that Nendoroid, I have a small nendo collection, Witcher and some other rare characters. They are super cute and one of my fav collectables.

I remember I asked RRX for 1/6 Leon and he responded that they are working on 1/12 and don't have plans for 1/6 but since then lot of time passed so things could change. Everyone wants 1/6 fancy Leon.

Already did the survey! I think the fact that Capcom is reaching out with a survey specifically for higher end collectibles is promising!

Tho I don’t think it’s Dam that actually has the licenses and that’s why they had to partner with Nauts for the Resident Evil figures. Did the RE2 figures sell well enough that both Dam and Nauts are happy with the sales?

If they aren’t happy with sales and already have the RE4 rights they could just sit on the license and do nothing with it… or for all I know Dam is hard at work on RE4.

Personally I wanna see Iconiq take over and do RE4R and MGS Snake Eater… Their Street Fighter and Silent Hill figures look awesome and both Leon + Ashley will heavily benefit from a specialised TBLeague body with the exposed arms.

Don’t know anything for sure… just speculation

Damtoys is only doing RE2 version though. And I hate their cheap looking paint applications. The eye decals look so lifeless and no definition in the face. Especially on their Leon, the lack of jaw definition makes him look like he got stung by a bee.
