Resident Evil Film Reboot Dream Cast (for fun)

OK, I think most of us agree the Resident Evil films have been a very poor 'adaptation' of the game series. I think all of us would love for a reboot of the series that actually follows the game storylines, starting back at the original Mansion mission.

So I thought it would be fun to toss around ideas on who would be the perfect cast for the film(s).

I'll start with good 'ol Barry Burton.

To me, I've always seen a bit of Ray Stevenson in him.

So Ray gets my vote for Barry. He's got enough age to him that he clearly knows what he is doing, but he is still young enough that he can still do it to. Plus playing the Punisher, you know he can kick all kinds of butt.

So yeah or nay? And who would you want for Chris, Jill, Wesker, etc? Maybe, just for fun, we stick to RE1 for now before moving on to RE2?

Emily Blunt as Jill for me. She has the same steely eyes...plus she's a good actor and gorgeous.

I think Jason Isaacs would make a good Wesker. Maybe not so much in look(though he can look pretty sinister) but I think he could get the attitude. Or Robert Patrick...though he may be getting a bit on the old side now a days.

People have said David Boreanz for Chris and I tend to agree. I could maybe think of someone better but he doesn't seem like too bad a choice.

I definatley like Blunt and Boreanz as Jill and Chris. But wasn't Issacs William Birkin? Even so, he could be good. He plays a great villian. And Robert Patrick would have been PERFECT about 10 years ago or so. He looks pretty old now, but I bet he could still pull it off with some work to make him look a bit younger. I always got a Patrick vibe from the HT figure.

Not technically. His role is uncredited (a wise decision ) He just has a voice over and he appears very briefly at the end of the film but he has his face covered in a doctors mask. The movie never officially states He was William Birkin nor do the credits. (IMDB has him listed as the character but that isn't concrete)

I also like Kelly Hu as Ada and Amber Heard or Kristen Bell as Alexia Ashford (Heard if Alexia is based on how she looked in CV/X and Bell based on how she looked in DSC). Also Avril Lavigne would make a good Allyson (the chick in chapter 1-2 in RE5 whose head explodes into a plaga).

I think Cage looks like an older Billy Coen from RE Zero.

He was kind of an interesting character in that game. If they do reboot the RE series, I think they should include him in some way or another.

Great choices, especially Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Jenson Ackles. I've only seen Til Schwieger in IB so I'm not very familiar with him, but he definately looks like Wesker.

As for Kane being Nemesis, he is about as good as you could get with a real human playing Nemesis. But I think Nemesis and Tyrants would need to be done with creature effects/puppets/cgi to be done right. They are just too big to be a guy in a suit. Get Stan Winston Studios on the project and they'd find a way to get them to look and work right

My choice would be to have RE1 be a live action movie with RE0 being a CGI movie (like the previously done one) being released on DVD just before RE1 hits theaters. That way the hardcore videogame fans get both the prequel and the first real story. And obviously any characters that are in RE0 and RE1 should be played by the same actors. So Wesker and any Bravo guys would be the same in both the CGI film and the live action one. I guess you would also need to have William Birkin cast for RE2 then already as well.

The only thing I'd be worried about Schweiger is his German accent. If he can hid that I think he'd be great as Wesker. He was allways calm and collected in IB much like old Al.

I think Nemesis can be done whithout the use of CGI FX if you get a tall enough actor/stuntman to play him because he's not as big or tall as a standard Tyrant. Tyrant though would definately need to be CG though. He's like 9' tall

I'm guessing a 7' or a little more. He's definately not as tall as the Tyrant (RE0, 1, mutated Mr. X or CV/X Tyrant). In RE3 he's little over a head taller than Jill who is about 5'6" or so but in bothe RE1 and Remake even the male characters barley come up to the Tyrants waist. Mr. X in his first form is about the same height as Nemesis but when transfromed, he's noticablly bigget and taller.

And this pic roughly shows that Tyrant is quite taller. Definitely closer to 9'
