Ok this is good news but im not getting my hopes up. Resident evil is in dire need of a "clean slate" ever since RE5 and 6 blasted off with its ****** story. But I wonder though, what are they going to do with that natalia girl who has Alex weskers conscious inside her.

All the comments on forums, sites/etc are making fun of the whole "going back to its root".

With some many new "fans" I highly doubt it it'll ever go back. REv2 was good, but not great. Felt like capcom is trying to copy TLoU and Tomb Raider(reboot). If the movies need a reboot, the game series needs it desperately. But if the news on 7 is true, I'll just for more info to surface but I hope fans don't drool over the first trailer like they did for 6.

You know, after playing the REmake again when the remaster came out... that voice acting really isn't much better. At least the PS1 version had a funny cadence to everything.

Its fine fr what it is. I played REmake (really my first real Resi ever) And i adored it. The team that remastered it is making the RE2 remake, the directors first game he worked on was RE2 i believe, so is it safe to say the REmake 2 is gonna be like the first?

I have no idea what the heck theyre gonna do for RE7

Either way, I'm happy for some new Resident Evil finally. RE2make, FFVII Remake, and Shenmue III all announced the same year was the trifecta, the Holy trinity for me.

It's pretty much the same lines, but played straight. I really don't think it was a vast improvement over the awfulness that was in the PS1. But, it's tolerable at least. Resident Evil never had great voice acting anyway.
