Re: Resident Evil Remake Remastered

It never ends, does it?

I don't get what the argument is here. RE5 had allegations of racism, that's a fact. It was quite a big deal way back, I still have a magazine with an article on it.

On another note, the download size for RE Remastered has been confirmed. It's 14.2 GB on both PS3 and PS4, and 14.68 GB on Xbone. Not bad.

Resident Evil HD Remaster PS4 file size confirmed

It's also available for pre-load on PS4 right now.

It's old news that should have been obvious to everyone at this point in time. Unless someone has been living under a rock. Or, in this case, a veggie that's been submerged in soil. Whatever analogy is more suitable.

Can you download it with a pre-load, or is that just a pre-order with the PSN store?

Any self respecting RE fan knows that, the same way any MGS fan knew that MGS was supposed to end at MGS2, 3, and even 4.

I'm not sure, maybe someone should correct me if I'm wrong, but basically you'll be able to play the game right away as soon as the clock strikes midnight this 20th January, will the game already installed in the HDD. If I'm not mistaken, pre-loads are only for people who pre-ordered games.

Btw Solidus, if you ever plan to get this for your future PS4 then you might wanna take advantage of the Cross Buy offer. That means you'll be getting two versions of the game for the price of one.

Re: Resident Evil Remake Remastered

Ah, so the pre-load is essentially like a midnight release, then.

The thing is, I'm not sure if I'd want the PS4 version as yet. Digital Foundry did a fps performance analysis, and it showed that there were lots of frame dips below 30 fps. It might not hinder the gameplay. But, there does seem to be some noticeable choppiness when the game transitions to new rooms, or switches camera angles. I'd expected better from Capcom...

Whoah, really? :lol

I have the 12GB console, so I'd have to get an external drive just to play this game then, wouldn't I?

Re: Resident Evil Remake Remastered

so are you saying putting only 1 or 2 of the several million European Caucasians in the game is also to lull the claims of racism? geeze, statistic between Caucasians & Afircans in an African continent explains why Sheva was Black not white, also it helps blending into the environment compared to 2 Caucasians walking on the street.

The main issue with racism Capcom faced in RE5 was the fact that majority of the "live people" you kill are African Blacks, but it's explained that due to the fact that the plot happens in some African country it makes sense, if they truly wanted to lower their racism rating they'd put more non-African Blacks in the game to kill. Do you have any base to claim Sheva was designed to be Black just to solve the racism issue in the game? Is there any base design that shows there was a point where Sheva was designed to be non-Black? I have the RE5 artbook i can recheck if there's a color tone setting in the original design that show if she's not black. Capcom can claim anything about why Sheva was black including to avoid racism, but unless they clearly stated that before the racism comments it'd just be another convenient excuse.

It should be really obvious for MGS4, it really should. Still no excuse for people with 2 and 3.

That is pretty neat for REmake though, not bad.
