'The Young Ones' played a BIG part in my teenage years. Me and three other friends would impersonate them every chance we could - I was Rik. Had a lot of his mannerisms for a long time, lol.
Needless to say, after all these years all four of us spent a long time chatting about it on Whatsapp yesterday. Ah, the memories...
Loved him in 'Bottom', too, and as Lord Flashheart in 'Blackadder'.
Heck, I even loved that 'Dancing Queen' story from 'Rik Mayall Presents'.
Still bummed.

Yup. He had a Quad bike accident which left him in a coma for three days I think.
Apparantly his wife said he would fit if he didn't take medication.

My jaw literally just dropped. 
I grew up watching him in the young ones, bottom, blackadder and later drop dead Fred. Such sad news. He always seemed like such a nice guy too.

After being stunned by just finding out about his death, this line just put a huge smile on my face. Love everything about that show.

One set of people I always wanted in 1:6 never knew they had a cult following outside Uk. Sad news such an awesome and funny guy.
