This is shocking news. It's not just a loss for the film industry - this is a loss for all of us!
He was that funny guy, who, in every LOTR or Hobbit behind-the-scenes video, could be seen making silly faces into the camera.
I'm devastated. I don't know him, but I will miss him!

RIP Andrew Lesnie, LOTR and Hobbit Cinematographer

This probably belongs in the movie section, but I know us LOTR/Hobbit fans are a die hard/ close knit group. Andrew Lesnie passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack. Thank you Andrew for the stunning shots of Middle Earth/New Zealand. We will forever be indebted to you or helping Peter Jackson bring Middle Earth to life.
