Re: robbiethepainter's project thread. Nathan Drake repaint.

my hopes for the figure just shot back up, getting one and definitely getting the head fixed up...Robbie you are the MAN, or the painter in this case

Re: robbiethepainter's project thread. Nathan Drake repaint.

What a difference! Amazing job Robbie!
And yeah like everyone says you should try the Uncharted games they really are a lot of fun.

Looks great is that his Jail ***** in the prison clothes in the back round?

Re: robbiethepainter's project thread. Nathan Drake repaint.

Thanks guys. It was fun to mess with.

I don't even have a gaming system. Last game I played other than on my phone was Gran Turismo 3. I already have too many distractions in my life. Last thing I need to do is start playing video games.

That is Lector waiting for his dolly in the background.

So have started messing about with CAD modeling. Here are some pieces that I have in the works.

Looks good.
Are you using Solidworks? I'm doing Engineering at Uni and I've been using/learning CAD for a year now.

Re: robbiethepainter's project thread. CAD Modeling

I use a Vectorworks which is a design program utilized by a lot of theatre designers of which I am one. Its not necessarily the best for this but I am comfortable with it so I thought I would give it a go.

I just started a couple of days ago so Im still finding my way but so far its a lot of fun.

Okay I've never used Vectorworks, only used Solidworks and Inventor. There are so many different programmes available that can be used.

It's the most enjoyable part of the course by far, I'm currently making a lamp. It's taken me quite awhile to finish as we build it in stages than once it's finished we assemble it.

Looks like a bicycle pedal and Hot Wheels off road tires!

Re: robbiethepainter's project thread. CAD Modeling

Mr. Robbie Sir,
Is that a 3d program that you create pieces and a machine will print them out? That looks like a lot of work with geometry and mathematics, amazing what some of you guys can create, such artistry and imagination. Hopefully, I can get one of these to have my Ewoks cruise around Endor! Yachuta!

Re: robbiethepainter's project thread. CAD Modeling

Hi Robbie would it be possible to make a Intratec tec 9? the gun that Jack Burton uses, that gun is near impossible to find.

Re: robbiethepainter's project thread. CAD Modeling

Maybe. I have a ton of other projects still needing to be completed.

Yep and Anton does too when he's chasing Llewellyn Moss from the hotel
