I disagree. Orlok looks different enough from Murnau's that it would be worth having a figure of him. The Romanian noble robes would look badass.

My theater which has an IMAX didn't show this in IMAX. Even though they showed the damn trailer in the IMAX.

10/10 pure cinema.

Seriously though, I loved it - you can tell Eggers is a proper history and folklore nerd, some proper old-school vampire lore in this film, right down to the vampire being a sorcerer from the Scholomance and Dracula's iconic tasch.

in the myths and early literature vampires are pretty much a metaphor for rape [as well as disease, sleep paralysis and nocturnal emissions] in Dracula and Polidori's the Vampyre especially.
Eastern and central European folklore especially has a lot of horror tales about vampires visiting the living for their "conjugal rights" and spreading death/disease in the act.
This is a long winded way of saying that there are good historical reasons for Bill Skarsgard to dry hump Nicholas Hoult.
