I think the Predalien was a really cool design, just used poorly. The Aliens were a cooler design (I prefer the ALIENS dome style). Wolf's probably my 3rd favorite Predator design after P1 and P2.

And my vote for worst creature design.

Meh. I seriously dont understand how anyone could like the Predalien.

It's ugly for one.....

Also, it condridicts the other movies. It's more Predator then Alien, when it should be 90% Alien, and 10% Predator. Otherwise, why didnt the Alien from Alien have hair, or more human features? Doggy too.

I hated the AvP-R aliens as well. Big ugly necks, goofy teeth....how fake they looked.

I mean, I could say "hey, that's your opinion"...but I hate these movies so very very much. .

Well that's sci-fi for you, someone could seel well because of similarities between Predator and Alien DNA, blah, blah, blah, an Alien grown out of a Predator will absorb traits from the host where it wouldn't from a human.

There really is no concrete, here is what a xenomorph is and how it works guide to abide by, it's basically, do with it whatever suits the movie.

Wolf is just as bad as Scar.

Besides the face (which was still cooler than the ones in AvP), he had a much better design.

Only good thing about the AvP movies.

I agree. It's hidious. It frightened me as a child. And I was a HUGE Alien fan when it came out. (We saw it opening night)

Yeah, ADI's had some cool original designs but the newborn was a big swing and a miss.

Their designs of the existing creatures in the Alien and Predator franchises haven't been that hot, especially Alien, walking away from the bio-mechanical design Giger came up with was a bad move, even Cameron and Winston knew to leave that be.

I agree with all your recent posts. The Predalien was awful, the newborn wasn't as terrible as everyone makes out, and ADI ruined the Aliens, with the exception of the dragon.

I also saw Alien 4 opening night with my family, I think I was about 10, and the newborn was very creepy.

Oh ok. I like ADI's non Alien and Predator stuff. I dont think they're a bad effects company, and I like both Gillis and Woodruff. I just think they made too many mistakes with the Aliens and Preds.

They're a very talented and creative effects house, probably second to Winston and his studio, though WETA's got some good stuff to, but when ADI touches pre-existing designs, I don't think they have the capacity to be true to the original designs, it seems like they feel they must make something of their own. I understand it must suck to make creatures that are pre-designed and all you really should do is just improve the executions of the designs, but when someone puts in hard work to establish a design for something, and that design is very popular with the franchise fans, you should be respectful enough to continue the design and just be creative with new creatures and other projects.

It's turned into a big "AvP/AvP:R/Predalien/Newborn" bashing mish-mash.

Let's get back to what the thread IS ABOUT....the movie PREDATORS.
