Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

Spend some more time talking about how much you hate America and it's policies and how everything is related to the Middle East and Vietnam and facist robots. :lol This director is pushing alot of nonsense and "Everything from the first movie is that movie's" So no fun lines, no work with anyone to define how Robocop will actually move until he was on the set for day one of shooting. This guy sounds more like a Uwe Boll than Veerhoven. This movie is going to be attrocious in a way no remake has ever before accomplished. It was like they were just admitting they didn't give a ****. At one point Keaton put his shades on and I swear he took a nap.

I've seen some of his movies. To compare him to Boll is nuts. Have you seen Elite Squad? It's a damn good movie.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

I only have interest in seeing this because of Joel Kinnaman...He's been great on The Killing. But unless the trailer somehow changes my mind, I doubt I'll pay to see it.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

That panel was painful.

I wonder if Keaton/SLJ were regretting their decisions to participate in this hot mess.

I need to watch the original to wash away this stench.

Robocop has been garbage after part 1, that trend doesn't seem to be in danger of ending anytime soon.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

The Sequels were horrible, and this is really one of those movies that does not need to be remade, ever.

Everything I have seen from this production gives me zero interest in seeing this at all.

Also, the armor sucks, I like the original armor much better.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

My talented friend Gérald Parel made a pretty cool robocop redesign

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

I thought it was pretty lolz how when the director walked in to the panel he didn't get a single applause, neither did the guy that's playing Murphy.

Then Keaton comes out and there's thunderous applause and cheering, then the same for Samuel Jackson. They had to have felt like crap after that, especially with Star Wars, Batman, and "what's your favorite movie" questions to them instead of Robocop.
:lol Absolutely! I just watched the full video..

Even when the director was answering questions, the camera guy was subtly moving the focus towards SLJ & Keaton - & leaving it there. :lol

I'll watch RoboFlop when I can download it.. but not before. :lol

(legally of course.. :monkey3)

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

not a fan of the batman suit...

I've watched it all except the cartoons (3 movies, 4 part mini series, 20 episode TV series) but it might be while before I see this one... just not getting into the look.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

They could've attached it to LotR and it still wouldn't break even.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

I have to admit, I thought the director's interview was quite good. I still have reservations, but have a little more hope than before.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

I guess the graphic violence which made the film stand out and contrast with the sharp commentary on the world geared toward adults won't happen like the first one now.

Re: Robocop....making a comeback?

Not a single thing about this film bodes well, not even the presence of some likeable actors. It'll be a real shock if its actually good.
