Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II" is a go. Days after the Adult Swim show landed a best animated series Emmy nomination for its "Star Wars" episode, the cable network is moving ahead with a sequel that will premiere Nov. 16.

"It doesn't even seem real -- getting to make Star Wars twice!" said "Robot Chicken" co-creator Seth Green, who is set to direct the second "Star Wars"-themed episode after winning an Annie Award for helming the first one.

Many members of the voice cast from the first special, including original "Star Wars" actors Carrie Fisher and Billy Dee Williams -- reprising their roles as Princess Leia and Lando Calrissian, respectively -- are back. Also returning are Seth MacFarlane as Emperor Palpatine, Conan O'Brien as Zuckuss, Breckin Meyer as Admiral Ackbar and Boba Fett, and Ahmed Best as Jar Jar Binks. Green will voice several characters, including Ponda Baba. Joining the voice cast this time around is Andy Richter.

As for the creative direction in the sequel, "we decided to focus on the bounty hunters a bit and explore their stories," "Robot Chicken" co-creator Matt Senreich said. "It's a geek-fest for us all."

"Robot Chicken" hails from Green and Senreich's Stoopid Monkey Prods. and Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico's ShadowMachine Films.

The first "Robot Chicken: Star Wars" special was released Tuesday on DVD.

Color me Excited.

I'm surprised no mention of this on the first episode DVD, though I didn't check it all out. DVD extras are a bit of a let down, thankfully the DVD doesn't cost much.

I got the DVD last tuesday and have watched nothing but the extras. The set design is phenominal! The cardboard tubes they used to make the Falcon's interior is just soo cool.

They 'announced' a second SW special a few weeks ago. After an episode of RC that a wife and I caught, the gave a quick listeing of 'coming soon' season 3 will continue next month and they liste d a few other shows then RC SW 2 for november.

I am so pumped for this. "Go For Papa Palpatine" is the funniest Star Wars segement ever in my opinion. My favorite lines:

Palpatine: "Who's THEY?"

Palpatine: "What the hell's an aluminum falcon?"

Palpatine: "Now get your seven foot asthmatic ass back here, or I'll tell everyone what a whiny ^^^^^ you were about padamame or panda bear or whatever the hell her name was!"

Great! I loved the bit about the prequel to the Mos Eisley cantina. :rotfl:lol:rotfl

favorite parts of the episode was the Boba Fett peice as well as the Ponda bar scene. Really enjoyed the first one and cant wait for the second one. And was also happy to finally know for sure that they did end up using the Qui-Jon Sideshow head for that one clip.

I'm SOOOOO Excited they're bringing my fav Admiral Ackbar back for round 2! WOO HOO!!!!

Great news... I loved the first one. And that one had a lot of reused clips, guess this one will be all new material :rock

It was so much better than the Family Guy special, and I love Family Guy. The DVD extras seem to consist mostly of the cast goofing off in some way, but that was kind of funny too. They mentioned in one clip (as a joke, so I don't know how seriously to take it) that the Luke doll cost $3000 to make. I wish they had gone into more detail about how they constructed all that stuff. There was a lot of custom work, but I also spotted some Hasbro stuff (like an old Han doll repainted blond and used as a background character).

yeah they used lots of hasbro things as well as some sideshow parts. they talked a little about how they are made, but i would of liked a whole extra about the construction of one of those things.

Friggin SWEET!!! I just bought the first one. It has over 2 hours of extra features! For Robot Chicken, I plan on watching every single extra... LOVE that show whether SW related or not. This just makes it even better!

They did have a few of the set they used at CIV. They were pretty nice. I may have pics still I will look.
