I remember when my LCS had these in stock. Compared to what HT does now, I was really disappointed with the look of these (even at the $99 price point). Regardless of the supply and demand BS, I'm surprised that a few of them sold for the prices they did recently.

The figures are dated in the likeness department. But at one time, figure collecting was not about perfect likeness. The costumes and accessories were fantastic and they did resemble the characters. Clubber lang was especially well done.

Sweet Jesus! WTF is going on with the prices on some of these older figures as of late? I can see a bit of a price bump but lately HT figures have been doubling and tripling in value (eBay scalper prices) overnight.

The are my favorite figures that I own. As a collection, they all absolutely rock.

Nice collection!! I like the Rocky III fig the best in that set.

The only characters that are dated are Drago and Apollo. Rocky III and the two Clubbers are perfect, Rocky IV likeness isn't perfect but it looks great in my collection. I really don't get all the hate the HT Rocky's get all the time around here?

I never had any problems with Apollo. My Drago looks a bit like a drag queen because Hot Toys went a little crazy with the eyeliner. That might be specific to my individual figure though...

Nice collection!! I like the Rocky III fig the best in that set.

Thanks. He was a $90 MSRP figure back in the day. He was also the first figure I ever bought new.

I picked up Apollo to convert to a Dillon and I didn't find him dated at all. He fit right in with Dutch and Billy.

Good old memories...Rocky IV and Clubber Lang was the first 2 figures that got me into this hobby,and i still hadn't joined this board yet.

It's crazy,the last Rambo HT released was before i joined this board,they need to bring Rocky and Rambo back to life!

Exactly, easy money makers imo, especially with the new body and paintwork. With Rocky they don't even need to "re-release" anything, they still have an assload of movies to work with. All we need from Rambo is "Rambo" A Rambo figure similar to Barney Ross would be SICK!

It would be great if they released a DX Rocky from the first movie. street clothes along with hat and jacket...and boxing outfit... two head sculpts: standard and a BD. It would be an amazing figure. Probably the best ever if done right.

IF they do indeed re-release say just one i'd hope it'd be Rambo II but I doubt they'd do that.

This is exactly what i'm hoping for too, i'd even consider it my favorite figure too. "Rocky" is a very important film to me. I pray they do it some justice.

You mean Rocky 6? Barney is old Sly, unless you mean't the bulk compared to his ripped mid eighties build? A Rocky 6 fig would also be sick!

Yup. Rocky Balboa. Didn't he use the Italian Stallion robes for the fight at the end? Easy figure for HT to release.

Film accurrate, his Rocky 6 robe were the gold and black Itallian Stallion colors but it was different from the Rocky 2/3 design, black robe with yellow trim and just BALBOA on the back where the 2/3 was yellow with black trim and the stallion logo on the back.

I do hope that the Barney parts are a sign of uses for a Rambo 4 and Rocky 6, not 100% spot on but close enough you could do all 3 old Stallone roles with that body setup and they'd look nice.
