Not sure how I missed your page but WOW! Love all of the dynamic poses. The shots you've taken and posted are the type of shots that I try to do but fail at, lol. Nicely done!!!

Just looked through the thread from start to finish, and it was an absolute joy. You have serious talent with the customisation. I think my favourite is your BD Luke.

Your collection and photography is also stunning!

Joker 2.0

Quick Review:
Firstly this is the best 1/6th Joker ever released commercially.

The Good:
Stuff: The sheer scale of the set, the accessories are top notch. Even down to the perfect 1/6th scale pencil. Really really Impressive. I would recommend tracking down the exclusive goodies, because the clown mask and bomb are some of my favorite parts of the set. The table and chairs are very well made, not cheap at all. very very good.

The Shoes: Amazing 1/6th scale work here, I wasn't sure in some of the preview pics but these are excellent. I will be picking up extras when the prices come down.

Outfit: Brilliant, apart form the now infamous furry coat-gate. It is furry, but still looks great, it's very clean though, could do with some weathering. Combined with his shiny new gold chain, he has a certain pimp quality.

The laughing sculpt: this is great, although I find both sculpts have a strange paint quality to them. I should deduct marks from this because it seems to me to be a straight rip off of a certain other custom head. But it's very good.

The OK:

The purple stand: Just doesn't do it for me. The character is very colorful and this doesn't go IMO.

The regular head sculpt: I don't like it very much, I don't see much Ledger Joker in here. It's far better than DX01 but thats what it feels like an improved version of that. I just don't like the chewing gum expression, not sure what part of the movie they had in mind with this sculpt. It has that same wet look that both sculpts have been treated with, this has grown on me somewhat. the PERS box and control is new and unique to this head, i don't like it very much, smaller and fiddly. I hate the shape of his hair, it's too round.

The Bad:
The knees are very loose, mine had the long leg syndrome which needed to be pushed in but generally he feels quite floppy.

Overall: Combine the cardboard backdrop as well and you have an amazing set, not perfect but great fun. These heads looks great from a distance but up close not so much..

Verdict: Expensive but worth it, no way near as impressive as the Enterbay 1/4 scale figure on display, but that had a load of it's own issues. Your opinion on this will depend completely on what Jokers you have already. If you have some of the amazing custom heads or tailoring you maybe a little disappointed at first.
8/10

Great pics Rory (hope you dont mind I nicked some for the DX11 thread). When you get time can you answer the question a lot of us have had as to whether the backdrop fits in a detolf?

Cheers man :hi5:

I think it does mate, but not the entire thing, it has velcro attachments to separate the sides. I will check it out fully later.

So this is really just a modified DX01? The DX01 was really bad with those big eyes, the eyes do not look big on here, so I think it looks a lot better but then again I do not have it in hand. Do the eyes on this sculpt look big like the DX01?

no it's an entirely new sculpt. but it bears resemblance to their previous DX sculpt IMO. Eyes are fine.

Thanks for the review, Rory! Excellent pics as always. :rock I agree that the overall package is impressive, but the custom sculpts that have bombarded us for the past few years have definitely taken the wind out of this figure's sails a bit. I plan on selling both DX sculpts, if my custom turns out like I hope. And if SSC is really going to take until MARCH to release this thing...I'll have plenty of time to decide. :slap
