Rosie has multiple Emmy awards and starred in the live action Flinstones movie, which I consider a touchstone in American cinema.

Roseanne Barr had a tv show named after herself. That in itself isn't spectacular but it starred John Goodman, who starred in The Big Lebowski, which is all that really matters. He was also in The Flinstones movie, the zenith of which motion entertainment has since yet to reach.

Oh, do you not like VS. threads? What's not to like? And no, I excluded a poll intentionally for the purpose of not adding any sort of legitimacy to this thread.

Lately I've been watching "Roseanne" on TV Land. I forgot how funny and well written that show was. And Joss Whedon was a writer during the early seasons.

I don't think I've ever watched anything with O'Donnell.

Don't care what anyone says, I've always liked both of them. Don't always agree with some of the things they did, but......both!

If I HAVE to pick one, it would be Barr. Her show the first couple of years was great.

don't like either of them. Back in their early days, as pure stand-ups, I preferred O'Donnell. But somewhere along the way, they both lost their sense of humor.

They lost it? I thought we seemly outgrew them... They were never cutting edge... French & Saunders... possibly the only funny women on the planet!

Agree...never cutting edge. But they both were able to approach with a pretty decent sense of the ridiculous on whatever angered them enough to become comics in the first place. Good for a bit of a chuckle. Now they're just plain angry.
