NICE! If this was a normal release, you'd think Jello would want to take advantage of that. Being that you were so interested in seeing how a tournament would play out, have you checked out the DB Multiverse fan comic? It's pretty fun, because you get to have your cake and eat it too. They're true to the characters, so if you didn't like someone, that won't change, but if you just didn't like the situation they were put in, this might be a pleasant surprise!

@KPman I'm not asking for it, but if they ever do make it, I'm just saying... I don't know when the Blu Ray or DVD is coming out, but I'll let you know when I do! I won't be able to see it in the theater, so hopefully it won't be a long wait!

I have read and kept up with that manga since its release; one of the best fan made ones out there imo. If their drawing wouldnt keep fluctuating due to their lead artist leaving id say its good enough to be official, the story certainly is.

It also comes with a set Kanji symbols you can put on his gi (they're stickers you can peel off). I think they're either the King Kai or Master Roshi symbols but I'm not sure. And yes, they're size-accurate!


If you like the Datong Trunks head then you'll probably like this one too. Although the shading on his eyebrow line is a bit too dark, and they should've included a couple more extra faces (it only comes with 1). And before anyone asks, it's just the hair/face/symbols, NO body. So it's up to you if you feel this alone justifies the price. However if anyone wants to create a Raditz custom, then this piece might be a good starting point (alongside Scouter Vegeta, of course), although the hair isn't as long as Raditz', it's the best we got thus far unless you're willing to sacrifice your official SSj3 Goku. There are rumors that a Datong SSj2 hair swap is next. Looking forward to that!

I hope they do a better job with the SSj2 hair, I appreciate the effort here with SSj3 but I'm disappointed. The original was only passable, so they really didn't have much of a shot to make it look good.
It just needs to be brighter, longer, more outward and untamed.
I won't address the face sculpt, I just can't.

But I suppose it's good enough if you don't have SSj3.

Yeah I agree, the real one's hair is definitely better quality, but hey it's a bootleg so that should be expected

I forgot to mention that there's a strand of hair at the bottom that is also articulated, somewhat like the original's but to a lesser extent. Can't really show it in the photos tho :/

New movie 2015!

Toriyama confirmed in the magazine that this new film, like last year's Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, will tell a new story. He had intended to have this story during his manga's original serialization. Although he did not plan on it, he is not only putting a lot of effort in drawing the art, but also "fussing over the smallest dialogue lines." He also promised more action scenes. He teased that the story is still secret, but will be "utterly funny."

To emphasize the effort he has put into this new film, Toriyama said that even his first manga editor praised him on the work he has done, even though this editor rarely ever does that. Toriyama is confident that fans will be able to thoroughly enjoy the movie. He is currently drawing up new character designs, and asked his fans to look forward to the movie.

Cant say im shocked at another movie; after alll BoG does setup a sequel, but dont mistake that for me no being happy about it!

As for multiverse bane; i have wanted Vegito as a figuarts for ages, so it hasnt affected that. Still love that manga though!

Awesome news. DBZ is alive now moar than ever. Although I can definitely see some fans getting disappointed over the story being "utterly funny." It's like those certain fans don't realize DBZ originated from Dragon Ball and want absolutely no humor in DBZ at all. I've read a lot of mixed reviews for BoG, mainly criticisms over the comedy aspect. Personally I don't mind at all, it was witty and in tune with the spirit of Dragon Ball. Hopefully it won't be too over-the-top tho.

But is this gonna be a sequel to BoG or something entirely different altogether? The article said Toriyama wanted to make it when the manga was still in production so that leads me to believe it could take place before the events of BoG so who knows?

and the way BoG ended, there could literally be an entire new saga left to explore. An all new manga and all new anime. 12 universes, each with their own God of Destruction, each being more powerful than the last? Toriyama wouldn't just set that up for no reason.

I don't know about the movies... we'll see... I mean, "my" DBZ, the original Ocean/Funi dubs, ain't coming back anyway, and the movies never had that to begin with.

I doubt I'll be overly fond of any of this but I do like that it keeps the franchise alive. But the depth that especially the original funi dub gave it... I don't see that coming back. That died along with Vegeta's self sacrifice back in the day.

But maybe there'll be some good fights and perhaps, with luck, even a descent plot or villain.

Lets be honest folks; toriyama wants to take the franchise back to its funny roots. Dragonball was the start of it all; just because we arent used to that humor anymore doesnt make it a bad film, the fight scenes were good and the story did actually make sense with no plot holes that I know of.

We cant keep clinging on to nostalgia, thats what is currently killing Power Rangers.

Well Toriyama did say that in his next project after BoG, he wanted the focus to be more on Vegeta. But the article says the plot will be "utterly funny" which conflicts with Vegeta as a whole (unless the side characters are the comic relief and Vegeta will be typical Vegeta). Son Goku & Friends Return was light-hearted but I wouldn't call it utterly funny. I just wouldn't want this new film to be teetering on all-out comedy with a few fight scenes in between, it should be the other way around. Or just like BoG which was a great balance of both (although they could've made the "fight" between Beerus and the Z Fighters last longer. Gohan should've at least lasted longer than everybody else). Either way it's too early to form an opinion about this, it was literally just announced. Give us a Bardock Figuarts Tamashii!!

So I got 18 in today and she is amazing! Love this figure. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm was dampened due to the ebay lot I purchased. I got the box and after opening it realized all the figures had been opened and the boxes weren't in the best of shape. That wouldn't have been so bad but I purchased the lot so I could get a good deal on SS3 Goku and Gohan, then I would sell Krillin, Cell, and Frieza. However, the worst part came when I opened SS3 Goku and noticed he was missing his flight stand, halo, and two sections of his hair! On top of that the effects pieces were all broken! This is extremely frustrating and now I'm waiting on hearing back from the seller. Any suggestions on how to move forward?

That sucks man. Unfortunately there will always be a risk when buying used merchandise off ebay. Only way to move forward is like you said; contact the seller and tell him what happened, hopefully he'll reimburse you in some way. If not then you'll just have to take the loss and wait for another great deal, hopefully that hasn't been tampered with in any way. It could be next week or next year, that's the thing with buying stuff on ebay.
