Got Perfect Cell through the mail today. Amazingly beautiful, glad I got him. Two villains down, one to go.

Then I got my DATONG Super Saiyan Vegeta and I think that it is one of the best bootlegs I have ever seen. $30 flat fee.

Thanks! You are totally right; I have so much fun posing them it's hard to believe how some can leave them standing still. Though it can be a struggle trying to pose them exactly how you imagined it in your head. . . I think I'm going to need more space (and Tamashii stands!) once Broly and 17 are released. Broly is massive!

Hell ****ing yes, one of my fav bands. I actually met them and hung out with a few of them for a few hours. Was 5 years ago though **** I'm getting old.
I once made a video of gohan beating cell with Sum behind it as a music track, so sick.

You don't know how jealous I am! Holy ****, that must have been an amazing experience. They are in my top 3 bands of all time. You have to PM me the details. And any chance you still have that video? lol

Goshugga, seeing your display got me in the mood for redoing mine. Hopefully I won't be too burnt out after this work day is over to actually get it done.

If a Figuarts Dragonball toy was released as a "Web Exclusive", there's no chance that it'll get re-issued, or am I mistaken? I just need to get my Super Saiyan Vegeta and Trunks! I just feel that my Goku is incomplete without Vegeta, besides, Vegeta was my favorite character before (even more than Goku lol!). If only I could buy Super Saiyan Vegeta for less than $200...

Or maybe I'll just buy that $30 "Datong" Vegeta since most people say he's identical to the original with only minor issues, like unclosed armor gap, unpainted white boots, and the... more orange face. I just hope "Datong" Vegeta's quality isn't horrible. I don't want him breaking and snapping even if I just play with him lightly.

I think I'll just wait for a re-issue of Gohan. Can't really afford to spend $200+ just for a single figure, when that amount of money can be used to buy Android 18, 17, 16, and Broly. Oh wow I really want Broly, I just re-watched his movie last night lol! It would be so fun to play with him! He's so huge, massive, that he can just steam roll all the other toys in his maniacal rampage haha

Oh yeah, I have some questions:

1. Is it cheaper to buy these Figuarts Dragonball toys from Japanese online shops, and what online shops do you recommend (locally and from Japan)? So far I've only bought from HLJ (Hobby Link Japan) but they don't seem to have pre-orders for Broly or Android 17.

2. Are there other places aside from Ebay and Amazon where I can possibly buy Super Saiyan Vegeta, Normal Vegeta, Trunks, and Gohan for less than $200 each? I just want to complete my Dragonball toys as much as possible.

I'm telling you, if you buy the legit version, then buy the Datong version & compare the 2, you'll say to yourself "..yeah people are better off buying the much cheaper Datong version instead of giving their cash to scalpers." Personally I've never had any issues with the limbs breaking off or anything, and I purchased 3 of them. The differences are superficial at best & you'll wonder why some are willing to spend hundreds when there's a near-identical copy readily available for less than half the price. Unless of course you're a hardcore collector & absolutely need it for authenticity purposes, then yeah get the legit version. All other collectors, casual buyers, etc. save your money & stick with the Datong, stop waiting for Tamashii to rerelease it cuz it ain't happening.

Plus you even get an extra Trunks head and folded arms. You get MORE for the cheaper version, while you're getting LESS for the expensive version. But to each his own!

I, one of the most fervent moaners about bootlegs, am now also o the page where I say, yeah, **** this. Tamasbro had its chance. They didn't take it. So yeah, henceforth I renounce my condemnation of collections with datong vegeta, not because I don't still loathe ripoffs, but because tamashiiis being a big massive prison ***** about it.

I'll pm you at some point Goshuggah, but I haven't got the video anymore I think. Do have Demiurge over 300's famous slomo fight sequence if you want...

We should probably expect next figures to be those we saw on their old poll. All of the already announced figures were there, including Broly and Vegetto. Next prototypes are probably gotenks, goten and trunks, majin boo, adult gohan, bardock and I can't remember the other options...

No, they didn't do a poll. To my best knowledge there was nothing available like that. I didn't ask them, but I didn't see anything regarding a figure poll.

No poll I conclude from
- They have a lot mapped out pretty statically.
- They feel they have enough feedback at the moment towork with.

Both of those things I can see being true, especially the first with BuuKai coming up.

But I'm still bit bummed out by it.

However, I will make a final post sdcc poll. We can now leave off broly, vegito and 16 for sure. We also know a slight buu focus is coming and they're considering a goten-trunks 2pack. Do we know anything more that can influence the 10 choice poll line up apart from the rsults of my two earliar ones? (Can still vote, click my sig lin!,)

If vegeta is your favorite character and you didn't get the legit one, by all means get 2 of the knock offs and the trunks head. The bootleg only has minor differences but you will hardly notice them. I did a detailed review comparing it to the legit one like 500 pages ago, pics and everything. I'll try to find the post if you can't find it. Trunks head is pretty awesome IMO especially since you can put the legit faces on it.
