The black lines around his eyes look thicker to me. That's probably just me tho

So, on a slightly different subject....

What would you all think about Dragon Ball being "re-told"? Or would you prefer a continuation of DBZ? Seeing as the recent short (Goku & Friends Return) and the movies (Battle of Gods and sequel...) are largely ignoring GT. What's everyone's thoughts?

This one in particular redesigns practically all the characters. In a unique style similar to some "American anime-like" series we've seen.Michael Lees Lunsford does some awesome work. I particularly like his redesign of the "Saiyan armor":

I hate the glossy, plastic look. They did that for the SSJ3 Goku release and he looks ridiculous and slightly fake with that "shine". I'm glad they went back to the flat, matte colors for shading and detail on the figures.

I hope a re-release of SSJ3 Goku brings the flat colors back.

I am a fan of the redesigns, I often find myself sketching out DBZ characters in my style of art

About the story of DBZ being "retold"... it could go either way. I'm sure stuff will be retconned and/or contradict other stuff from the "canon." Prime example being the Dragon Ball Minus manga Toriyama made; he retconned Goku from being an infant to being a small child when he was sent to Earth. Also completely altering Bardock's personality from what we knew. That's just the tip of the iceberg, just imagine what else he would change up; some fans would go absolutely crazy with joy or hatred.

That KAI series is probably the closest we'll get for now. But who knows, they relaunched Sailor Moon after all, so anything's possible.

I'm not feeling the redesigns on their own. However, they look stunning when placed on the Toriyama style artwork.

As for a reboot of the series, I'd be interested, though I'd also be concerned that they might marginalize other characters in favor of Goku even more. So, cautiously optimistic.

I'm hoping that Battle of Gods and the rumored sequel will reignite fan interest again. Much like the Americans 80's/90's cartoons/series have gone through a renaissance here in the States, we're seeing that in Japan too. Gundam has continued on for quite a long time, Sailor Moon has their relaunch and Saint Seiya has got their continuation series, Saint Seiya Omega that just recently wrapped up. Hopefully Dragon Ball will be next...?

I think Dragon Ball has gone over the same old material enough times already. It would be good if it could have some sort of continuation, although I think that's what Battle of Gods and the following movie are doing.

I'm really liking Broly, it's good to see how the actual product will likely look.

I see his clavicle can lower his shoulders a little more than when we first saw him. Also the discs that his shoulders rotate on are better aligned than before

I wish now that they would have used paint for his hair like they did for SSj Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan. Right now he only has a paint wash, the rest is the base plastic color (similar to SSj3 Goku) I wish they would be consistent with their approach, either paint mat for everyone's hair, or use the base plastic for everyone's hair. :/ But that is extreme nitpicking, even for me. That said, I'm very excited about this release.

Compared to the prototype, his hair seems to be a better shade of green and cut down. Which I like, a lot. Not sure about the eye lining, I'll have to see it in person to judge better. All in all, can't wait to get him so he can wreck the Z-Fighters!
