I just started collecting and pre-ordered the re-release of Vegeta,Goku,Gohan and Piccolo. I also pre-ordered all the new ones that just went up.

My question is which of the older figures should I pick up before they become even more expensive? Also,are there any of the older ones rumored to be reissued as well? Thanks!!

Basically any figure that isnt just released apart from the three manga versions will go up in price. At this point you are just best going for what you want the most, theres just too many to have a plan on getting them all. Just get them as you go.

Older figures that arent the original three wont be reissued, ever, but theres a chance they could get premium color versions. Vegeta and Trunks are due out the end of this year

I paid about £50 for Manga Goku about 4 years ago. I actually chose that over the SDCC version which was pretty much the same price

An opinion about the first episode of DBS at Timeless Dimension:

Wow, he is being really overly critical, isnt he? He keeps comparing it to GT but I dont see any similarities in the art style. As for the expressions and character, it seems the same as Z to me, nothing artificial at all. Just seems like he was expecting some amazing, same-as-the-films animation, which just isnt possible on a tv show budget.

Well it pretty much was what I was expecting. All the Z Fighters settling into normal life, Trunks & Goten shenanigans, etc. Although the bit that confused me was with Beerus. It's been a while since I've watched BoG but wasn't it said that he was sleeping for decades, pretty much the entirety of the DBZ saga? That scene gave me the impression that he's been awake for a while & does his thing on a regular basis. Or are we to think that he was sleeping, wakes up just after or during the Buu Arc, looks for food on several planets/destroys them, THEN tells Whis about his SSG dream? I dunno.

No, I wont relax. People are sick of it man. 2 months, 2 months you have constantly moaned that, among other things, ssj3 Goku isnt constantly available.

Ssj3 is amazing, ssjgod looks crap, sdcc should have 5/10/50 releases. Thats all you seem to say man!

Agree, I also think it shows that he expected something more spectacular, at least I was pleased to see their images (in general because Timeless is like another Cybergundam regarding to report news about japanese items).

To me this start was quite nice.

In a page of my country I read that when an otaku (or fan) does not like modern versions of an anime or manga that person is now considered as an oldtaku (old type otaku), I do not know if that term is widespread.

He should join the Ageless Geeks Facebook group. I've seen a few SSJ3 Goku's go for under $200. Best you can ask for.

That's how I felt watching it. It's kind of surreal that Dragon Ball is continuing after so long. I have a good feeling the series is gonna turn out great. The first episode was just right, some light action, setting up a story in the background, and reintroducing the characters and showing us how they're adapting to their newfound peaceful lives.

The shading on the hair seemed very overdone in comparison to the other figures which had been released at that point and I felt the manga version would compliment my display more. I'd just got into collecting and was still using ebay as I didn't know any better. Oh well, I'm really happy with my collection and I'm never going to sell my figures anyway.

That's the problem with the line, unless you talk to anyone or find out anything, you would never know what to expect. I saw Trunks, SSJ3 Goku and SDCC Gohan for retail prices in late 2013, I didn't know how bad they were getting Granted, SDCC Gohan and SSJ3 Goku I got for retail still due to some luck, and there BNIB, but Trunks I had to enlist a good friend's help on to get well under $90.

I think Deano speaks for this entire thread at this point, bar anyone who has been on break. And it's not even just this, but Rkenshin is pretty goddamn picky with what he wants in SSJ3 Goku.

I would like a recolored SSJ3 Goku, but it's not on the top of my list. Other people do too, but NOT to the extent of Rkenshin. It is so annoying.

I got one from people4toy on ebay. The peg going into his head from the neck was broken. He said he would send me "replacement parts" and that I wouldn't have to return the one I got. That was almost 2 months ago. I keep contacting him but get no reply. At this point I'm going to have to bring eBay into the problem and they will make me ship it back to him for a refund. Ugh.
