I can actually see whatever company this is making the aura effects, possibly in new colours! They have purple flame effects as well as the red and blue ones.

I've looked at the actual anime a lot, as well as tons of sdcc goku pics (I save almost all of them). I've really like side-by-sided a lot of anime stills and a lot of different lightings of sdcc goku, and I could conclude it's beyond opinion that he is significantly too red for namek era goku, as well as that the anime during that era was definitely orange. Another fact that helps is that there's enough pics that show that sdcc goku's gi is darker than krillin, and we have krillin (or most have), so every time we see a gi thats lighter than krillin's irl, it's affected.

To put it simple: sdcc goku is a tomato, anime namek goku is a carrot. Now I get why some aren't bothered by this and I'm still on the fence myself but I've had to conclude the gi is definitely too dark for this era to be anime accurate.

I dont know man, that bottom video against Ginyu is a dead ringer to SDCC Gokus colors to me. Maybe its just my monitor but its almost the perfect shade to me!

to me Goku´s Clothes are just like sdcc goku (saga freezer), the others ( saga cell, buu, movies or anything is bad quality), but that is not a reason a 100% for not buy sdcc goku 2015.

If anything, that pic shows those two lighter than they are irl, and on that pic goku is already darker than he is in the clips I just posted.

I'll make a side by side picture tomorrow, but here's a quick example via the actual video material (and no, the anime is not at all that inconsistent in this). Now look at the krillin you have and realise that again by photographic fact we know sdcc goku is DARKER. Go ahead and search for every mexigoku or sdcc goku pic you want, but know that irl he is darker than krillin irl. His gi is red, his anime gi at this period is orange. I'll line up a ton of different lighted pictures side by side with the anime but the conclusion stays the same. Sad but true...

For one using the remastered sets video is off putting anyways and not the true colors... Funimation has an habit of jacking up the brightness and saturation of there sets...(Looks at season two dvd set).. But I think SDCC Goku is pretty damn accurate to the show

Hey psycho could you requote me? I'd edited my post to take less room, I repeated myself too much.

Maybe the remastered versions do effect it, I don't know. I don't have access to the original broadcast. So I'm inclined to so it doesn't matter to me. I'd say Goku's gi in the anime is orange, except in the buu era. And the sdcc gi is red.

I forgot some of us here actually already have the figure, like TJ, what say you?

Yeah, Psycho has a point. Basically everytime the anime has been remastered the overall colours have been lightened and washed out just that little bit more, up until Kai where its pretty much manga colours mostly. If thats the colour Tamashii thinks fits the anime better, then theres definitely a source of it somewhere, and Tamashii have always pulled from the original anime and not from the newer versions (case in point, pretty much every sdcc release)

I'd pre-order Premium Vegeta from someplace else, man and QUICK!

I think it's pretty much a given that Amazon will get Awakened SSJ Goku, but Premium Vegeta is another story.

Amazon displayed some weird behavior recently when they DID NOT first-party carry the Gohan re-issue while other dealers did. By first party, I mean Amazon THEMSELVES as the seller was selling it (i.e.: "Sold and shipped by Amazon LLC." lingo you see on items). So now I'm not going to take my chances with Premium Vegeta and Trunks and will just pre-order from elsewhere.
