A question I have been wanting to ask you all, would you guys enjoy having a Bulma figure? Just out of curiosity. ;)

I would, but it would be great if it contained a bunch of accessories to make up for the "non-flashy character" or the fact it would be a very thin and short figure. Like the Dragon Radar is a given, but it would be nice to also get a Ginyu Frog accessory, and maybe a hand holding a capsule, or one or two items seen from capsules used in the show (fridge, armor crate...).

Then again Android 18 was equally short and slim and we got no accessories at all, so I doubt that'd happen.

But more realistically, I think the best bet for Bulma and some other side characters is PVC statues in scale with SHF. Leave the complex articulated figures for action characters, and while they're so enjoying re-using this Goku mold, why don't they just make a Yamcha since he has the exact same body type and even the same damn clothes! :gah:

YES, I want about 3 or 4 Bulma. I know Im such a spammer when it comes to female dbz figuarts, but the feminist inside of me dont care, bring Bulma, Videl, Launch and Chi-Chi figuarts, even Vados Im excited about (I hope she is not villain because I dont like to collect those), and no, I hate statues.

I think of Warrior Awakening Goku sells well, we could very likely see Armored Trunks as the next "Regular Release".

I believe Super Warrior Awakening Goku is going to be the best sold figure in this line and will remain that way for quite awhile. I hope you're right about the regular release but I don't see it happening because of Trunks' status in terms of popularity. Who knows though because I never would have imagined Beerus would be given a regular release. (Although, after further thought, it does make sense if he's going to be a main supporting character throughout Super.) If Armored Trunks is indeed a regular release, does that leave the door open for any of the other prototypes we've seen to be given the same treatment? Or just those that will share the same new style of articulation? Different from their reissue policy, I hope Tamashii is able to explain what necessarily qualifies to be even considered a regular release at some point to give us insight.

It's pretty likely that Trunks is going to be a normal release. As for Goku, I have no doubt he'll sell just fine.

I don't think they can in anyway that's not just a corporate policy cop-out Ang.

Ssb goku and vegeta are both we exclusives right? Is Beerus as well?

People are saying Beerus is a regular release, though I havent seen any confirmation apart from the fact the tamashii.jp website doesnt say he is a WE.

The fact that Beerus was available for preorder at amiami and hobbylink is a good indicator that its not a web exclusive.

I know, it would be interesting to see their answer though if somebody were to ask that question.

No, he will be a regular release.

Do you really need any further confirmation other than the company's own website? He doesn't have a Premium Bandai page which all web exclusives have. He's listed in the "Products" category on their schedule page rather than the "Web Exclusives Products" category. He doesn't have "Tamashii Web Shop-limited item" on his page. I don't believe he had the label on his card at Tamashii Nations 2015, either. tinlunlau is also correct about AmiAmi and HLJ carrying him, which they wouldn't if he was a web exclusive. All signs are pointed to him being a regular release.

Edited:
that awak goku is a manga right?

Yeah, he's in manga colors. Speaking of that, does anybody think they will release him as either a SDCC or Premium Color Exclusive in anime colors?

I know Ang, its just there was all this fuss about awakening Goku being a reg release yet nothing regarding Beerus. Im just being overcautious is all ;)

No worries all! If Beerus is a regular release, then that's GREAT news for the line. It means it's doing well in Japan again and since Tamashii (primarily) concentrates their product towards their Japanese audience, hopefully it'll mean a stronger emphasis back on the Dragon Ball line. We've really seen this line resuscitate in recent years after being at the brink of death by cancellation and it's likely Tamashii's BEST-selling line internationally.

It's amazing news for the line. Not only that but other things as well. They're increasing their releases throughout the year. They're releasing Premium/Advanced Color exclusives for highly demanded previous web exclusives. Their quality and sculpting is improving. They're reintroducing regular releases into the line. They have a variety of prototypes being worked on. They're willing to go into different interpretations of the characters. In all honestly, while others may have different personal preferences, Tamashii has continuously been doing amazing things with their Dragon Ball Z character categories.

Edited: Off topic. Speaking of Tamashii's best-selling international line, I've heard other people believe it's the Naruto line. Could that have any truth to it?

You may be disappointed then..

just finished watching ep18 of Super, and it seems like she's going to be just as much of a problem as Champa, in contrast to Beerus/Whis whom remain neutral

Naruto's only got 2 figures and I always see them in stock whenever I got to figure stores. You may have heard the opposite cuz as far as I've heard that line is actually dying. They showed some new stuff at an event earlier this year but it's been quiet ever since. They've only got one confirmed figure coming out soon. DBZ is most definitely their biggest line and they've said it themselves which is amazing news for us. Can't say the same for Naruto fans though...

I've heard a rumor that stated that Naruto has been doing the opposite and is performing quite poorly. They've only released two figures and ****shi is the next one.

EDIT: Seriously SSF, ****shi is censored?

I've also heard that despite showing Minato-whatever-his-name-is and Sasuke's brother prototypes, that the Naruto line is effectively done. If Naruto was their "best-selling international line"...why has there only been TWO figures released in the past few years? Why are Naruto displays at International conventions so much smaller in comparison to Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Super Mario?

Naruto is right there with Fatal Fury & Mega Man. however their BlazBlue line didn't even make it out the front door

I know it's near impossible at this point, but if Tamashii ever gets the license to produce Final Fantasy then I will forever be in their debt
