Found this pic, gives a good comparison between the main statue lines.

Here's my collection. They're almost the exact same scale as the EX line which is roughly 1:7. Don't be fooled by the Medicos, he's definitely not in scale with them sadly.

Medicos is strange...even with the hunching it looks out of scale still, having compared with my EX Goku and other statues from Good Smile and Kotobukiya. I see what you mean about scale sorta, since Vegeta should be a lot shorter than EX Goku and probably even the others, hell he should be closer to Gohan.

With statues i feel that most of them have a level of likeness & detail that articulated figures have yet to achieve. for instance look at this Golden Freezer

wouldn't it be phat if these had articulation? compared with the Figuarts version, in my opinion these look way better. The SHf version when in hand, has a almost cheap, rushed feel to it (which makes sense since it's being consistent with DBSuper which is also a rushed series but thats a whole other topic). Even when compared with the original Freezer release.

However at the same time I feel some statues can look very awkward when compared to their articulated counterparts. So for me it's hit or miss. Either the statue is a spitting image of the character or it has a feature that throws it entirely off, and vise-versa for articulated

I don't know, statues don't always do it for me. Even if the detail is greater (considering the price of some), I would rather have something smaller and articulated over a nice looking statue that will probably end up as an expensive paperweight in my house.

That first image of that Lakers Freiza looks good but there's something a little off about the likeness in the face on that second one - I can't quite put my finger on it. Call me mad but I still prefer the Figuarts version over both to be honest.

The detail of statues with the articulation of a figure, now that'd be something. That's the future of collecting right there.

Hot Toys are the closest things to that but they're too expensive at this point for most of us .

Medicom too falls into that category for anime figures. For me at least the size is too much (apart from the price tag). Also they feel like dolls at that scale. If they could somehow shrink quality like that down to 1/12 scale...oh man

Medicom is only good with anime figures, their realistic characters...no :lol especially when it comes to costumes.

Their Mafex line is kinda like that though in terms of quality, but outside of capes, it's PVC too.

I didn't even know Medicom made real people. Hot Toys is for real peeps and Mafex is for anime is how I've always thought about it. Mafex is a pretty decent line. Their first offerings were a little weak but their quality has gotten better. I better stop before I get too off topic and go on about the new Batman Vs. Superman figs they've got coming out. Some people around here will wanna slit my throat for veering too off course [emoji39]

I'd love it if someday they were able to make figures with great detail and hidden joints. I'm sure it can't be that hard to figure out and implement. I'm thinking something like Medicom with rubbery like skin and a fully pose able skeleton structure beneath it. Kinda how MG Gundam model kits are but with flexible rubber instead of hard plastic. Just imagine how sick these figures would look without the exposed joints

They have and it wasn't always great, I can say much. As for rubber skin...Hot Toys has used it, and it's pretty bad. You can't leave poses in it or it cracks :horror
Just found out that Figuarts Zero Ex SSJ Vegeta is being made, hell yeah.
Hell yeah! :hi5:

That platinum blond custom is nice, but they should of painted the eyebrows as well.

Since they're so Goku happy, you'd think we'd see a Kaioken version.

Are you thinking buy the SHF Goku GT? at this moment i am thinking seriously get it when they released it, because is different from the others Gokus we already have but i don know. What do you think?

It might be the worst Goku released honestly. He's only in GT all of one scene really, and not even SSJ.

But yeah, my dumb ass completist self will get it.

I like his new outfit but I dislike the yellow pants. They shoulda kept it navy blue-green like it was in the Buu Saga epilogue

No the worst is Angel Goku, because that one is manga exclusive and is just an accessory addition.

Agreed. It's lame as hell and I could've thought of many other forms of Goku they could've done instead of wasting money on sculpting those wings.

Regarding GT Goku, hell yeah I'm buying it. I must have all forms and outfits of every character :monkey3
