My most desired DBZ character and it's a Figuart Zero. Great.

Hmm well that does narrow it down. If it's not a new figure and it's a villain, then maybe it's anime colored Cell. All the other villains have no possible repaint options except maybe Broly. ****, I think it may be Broly.

Broly would be an interesting, mostly positive, release. Huge figure for SDCC would be awesome. If we're considering Namek Saga Vegeta a villain, well, there's my guess.

Don't lose hope, just becuz there's a Figuarts Zero statue of Kid Buu, DOES NOT mean they won't make a regular Figuarts version of him. Just look at the others, we have Figuarts Zero Piccolo, Figuarts Zero Friezer, Figuarts Zero Goku, Figuarts Zero Vegeta. And they all have articulated counterparts.

So if it's not a Hero, it's narrowed down to Namek Vegeta, Cell, Broly and Frieza I assume. I would leave the androids out because a variation of them would consist of new outfits.

Something along these lines. Make him paler and make his hair greener. Personally I'd think it'd be a waste. Like you said the one we have now is perfect.

Now that I think about it, it could also be Namek Vegeta (first appearance). They just need to slightly retool Scouter Vegeta and it would work. He was a villain at the time.

Nah he'd be a new figure. Thankfully that puts him out of the running.

Imo it's gotta be Cell, Broly, or Namek Vegeta. Really hoping it's not Broly.

All of those you listed have yet another thing in common, they were articulated figures long before they were Zero statues.


As for SDCC, my vote is Anime Cell. People would see it controversial with all the rumors of a re-release coming and people get so bent out of shape when it's a recolor of a previous exclusive with Trunks/Vegeta. That's kind of a stretch though.

Truly controversial would be a recolor of the Broly figuart.

Absolutely. There's no harm in Kid Buu being given a Figuarts Zero release and should be a great sign. Tamashii is finally diving into the Majin Buu character territory with official releases. They have a prototype for the Majin Buu character in S.H. Figuarts and Figuarts Zero EX character categories. Adam Newman said that they want to put the focus back on the Figuarts Zero line and I think this will be a great addition. I'm really excited to get it.

Edited: As for the SDCC 2016 Exclusive, I have a feeling that Alex Blas saying people would have mixed feelings towards it is meaning a similar situation from last year with Frieza Saga Goku. A version that the majority of collectors want with Tamashii making it one of the most exclusive releases of the line. I hope to be incorrect but I'd have some very mixed feelings towards Bluefin for submitting a request like that.

I hope you're right and it's not a 2014 sdcc vegeta type of mixed feelings. What if they got smart and decided to release all future repaints as premium colors and instead give us a metallic repaint for the Sdcc exclusive? If they do make Vegeta, that would be an opportunity for us to get some more powered down heads. Although I would prefer him in his second suit that he wore on Namek, it would most likely be the first one without the waist flaps.

I was thinking that as well. I immediately thought of Frost because he seems to be an easy Golden Frieza repaint. I would say that he's reliable. He knew about the Vegeta and Trunks premium colors for quite some time before Tamashii even hinted at revealing anything. He has a really good connection with Bluefin.
