Is there shading on Vegeta's hair in that picture or is just the lighting?

I honestly don't see Majin Vegeta so far off the table anymore. Tamashii already has the arms and legs completed and all they would need to spend their time and resources on is the body and head sculpt.

Has this video been posted on this board yet?

If it has, it doesn't matter. It's always a beautiful sight to see.

I dont think Majin Vegeta was ever off the table, I think the reason they seem iffy about making him is because he is technically a villain, and as we know, Japan hates villains (apart from Frieza)

Cell bombed for over a year and half, the androids are still pretty much retail price and Broly hasnt risen much in price either. That isnt good numbers for Tamashii.

Yeah Angel, there's shading. But the product that we see is the one we might not get. What I am saying is that tamashii prototypes are way better painted than the actual release.
I've been meaning to ask, for those who have trunks, how does his paint app compare to the prototypes?

I think they may have to add veins to his arms too no?

Tamashii ripped off my pose for SWA Goku, now I must consider legal action.

How did Scouter Vegeta sell though? He seems to have been the "best release" in regards to people joining the line but that's mostly from the Western Market. I could see the other villains having a problem but Vegeta's popularity shouldn't give him that problem.

That's true but I have noticed that Super Saiyan Trunks has shading in the middle of his hair so I'm hoping Vegeta will as well even if it's not as defined as it is on the prototype.

Don't believe so, I think that's just the lining of his muscles.

You mustn't, how will we get our Majin Vegeta/Nappa then!!!???

crisis' compensation will be the Shenron prototype.

Sounds like Bluefin got Amazon back....

They did but it seems Amazon is remaining cautious because they overshot their releases dates by 2 months.

Edited: IIRC, they did that with Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan Goku and Golden Frieza, as well.

Tamashii doesn't make any money off the after-market. They made their cash on the figures way before it got into customer's hands. They get paid from the stock orders of retailers and distributors.

Considering those figures were also all Web Exclusives, I think Tamashii also had a set stock they were intending to make based off orders and sales projections and once that was all sold off, there wasn't any intent to make more to fulfill any other retail orders because of their funky Exclusive rules. Tamashii actually "sold out" all those figures so they can be labeled a success from that view.

From the optic of the retailers though...it's different, the longer product sits on a shelf, the longer the retailer has essentially lost money on it and might be forced to lower the price to get rid of stock and make room for more, effectively reducing their profit. A retailer would then be less likely to order that item in the future. Android 16 is still available and has also had his price dropped on some sites, so he follows this model.

Sorry if you know this, it's just the value of the item after it hits stores and gets to customers is of no consequence to Tamashii. What is is how many orders they received from distributors and retailers...those are the numbers and sales that matter to them the most.

Yeah and they still ended up cancelling all the SSGSS Goku and C-3PO Frieza orders! :rotfl

I know that Bardoon, what im getting at is that most of the villains didnt go out of stock in 1st party retail until well after release, poor #16 is STILL available at retail.

Either way, Tamashii should be closer to releasing Majin Vegeta after Super (Saiyan) Vegeta's release. We just have to remain hopeful that they'll re-use the sculpt from Super (Saiyan) Vegeta instead of the Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta prototype.

Why was that? Is it because Bluefin didn't have enough stock to send out by that time? Edited: I remember asking Bluefin at NYCC back in October and trouble was already happening. I think it was because of Ultimate Gohan.

I was really hoping that the new Vegeta announced would be from the Buu saga, but now it looks like we won't get one for at least another year.

I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure we're going to see a Hit prototype pop up soon. I recall a Tamashii Nations tweet asking which of the Universe 6 fighters we would like to see. Hit is arguably the most popular amongst fans, so..

just got my armored trunks in the mail, and this guy is even better in hand! if he had at least a looking forward stern face for super saiyan then it would be an almost perfect figure! although there's a bit of blue paint scuff on the boot tip :( luckily it's not too noticeable

From 8:00 onward, does anyone else have the same issue he mentions with Trunks' legs looking like they weren't assembled properly? Haven't seen anyone point it out until now, perhaps it's just the way they're supposed to look?

Speaking of Trunks, TFS episode 53 is also up on their website. You gonna love this one. :lol

This release really sucks simple because there's no forward looking face. I lost an enthusiasm for it. It's all about that Super Vegeta now.

There's also no alternate SS hair that they "made on accident." That excuse still makes no sense to me
