Man I'm so tempted to try and buy that time patroller and mod it for use with my alt trunks head. I'd almost just accept the shirt color not being black, and making the trunks head socket beigger, I just wonder if you can remove the entirety of the cap and how much is finished underneath. Guess I'll wait for a DBS Trunks, but it remains tempting every time I see it.

A left-field VG Trunks release in an outfit I'd never seen, and another non-trunks release with the body I want for a Trunks release... kinda bizarre twist.

Maybe they'll release Future Trunks 2.0... I mean lets be serious they have the entire flippin' thing done, new paint and bamf! It's a done deal. I hope the cape comes off anyway, just in case they don't cash in on having all the parts.

Personally I wish Great Saiyaman was being released instead of Time Patroller, there's a lot of potential with that design Tamashii could take advantage of

I'm happy for fans of the character tho, but they need to sprinkle in some Boo Saga characters too.. c'mon already

Buuhan & Buutenks have been stuck in limbo forever. i'd rather prefer either Fat/Super/Kid Buu (his 3 "main" forms), but honestly i'd take any form of Buu at this point

Yea I'm reading a lot of conflicting info about getting Black...
I think I'll cruise on down to the local Gamestop and see if they have a "Day One Edition" in stock.. if not, Target, if not, Bestbuy.com still has them. Nearest Best Buy is like 35 minutes away...

It needed to be Xenoverse/2 related. Future Gohan would also have been a great release to go along with Future Trunks. They seem to focus on that story line in the new video game.

Buu Saga characters will be released when Tamashii Nations focuses on the Saga. They seem to be very determined on focusing in on certain Sagas and their connected releases so hopefully Buu Saga will be next.

I predict we'll see a Figuarts Zero of battle damaged Majin Vegeta in the near future, in this exact post with the thunderbolts & all

i also wish he woulda kept this outfit throughout Super. I like how he stays true to his Saiyan armor, but this jumpsuit was just badass

Perfectly well said, crisis! There are certain images from the manga and the anime that Figuarts Zeroes would capture beautifully. This is certainly one of them.

Just to be sure I went to GameStop on lunch and picked up the day one edition. I'll buy the DLC thru the Xbox store for the Super future Trunks.

I don't think I can ever get tired of more Trunks Figuarts releases. But at some point I want them to do his SSJ2 hair. Apart from Super, we haven't really seen much of him using that form outside of being referenced in video games and the like.

A Super version is a given at some point but I would like the option to mix and match the SSJ2 hair with different figures, so I can display him how he is on this Dokkan Battle card, for example.

Trunks isn't a Super Saiyan 2 in Xenoverse. His special transformation is called "Future Super Saiyan." It's the same, yet updated, version as when he went back to his future to destroy the Androids and Imperfect Cell.



Trunks is only a Super Saiyan 2 in Dragon Ball Super which is the other photo. It's the same hair as his Super Saiyan transformation we saw in the Android* Saga but with the two front locks of hair pointing down.

actually the anime has been wrong about how trunks looks in ssj2, they were lazy and goofed on it, here's how it looks in the manga.









It looks alot like his post cell hair except without the two little bits of hair, very spikey and upright. The animation is just inconsistent like always in DBS, and ssj1 trunks in dbs seems to have a softer looking hair like at the end of history of trunks when he fights the androids, which i like, and wish they would also make a new sculpt of along with ssj 2 hair or post cell hair.



also just realized xeno trunks probably reusing armored trunks faces except that new smirky face. Was hoping they would include a forward facing ssj face as well, but it doesnt look like it

@angelo no idea haha it could be that they both work at different schedules :O which could be why there's some inconsistencies here and there

also upon closer inspection the xeno trunks ssj 1 hair is retooled to not have the two bigger bangs on the sides.

Different schedules is understansable for story telling but when it's about character designs you would think Toei would have wanted Toriyama approved artwork. Either that or Toriyama providing the artwork for the character designs when he gave Toei the outline of the story.

Toriyama doesn't do any of the artwork for the manga, Toyotaro does. There tend to be various minor differences between the manga and the anime, probably to make both of them seem different enough to entice the other's audience.
