I'll probably be in the minority saying I loved this episode, it's something sortof new to the franchize, and it had some really profound moments. Yeah it has a tragic sense to it, but I kinda love that too, even in the world of DB, not EVERYTHING always gets 'dragonballed' right again. I like that, don't really care about the logic, it's refreshing.
Also on the note of logic, would last episodes ending really have made sense more? Idk, when dealing with an immortal dude things just become kinda whacky no matter how you deal with it unless you simply lock them up. I liked how trippy this became, and how psycho Zamasu is, brings a different type of anime feel to it and it also makes him probably the scariest villain to date tbh. I think as a consolation, in terms of power, they destroyed goku black and overpowered zamasu even before this (if he hadn't been immortal he'd have been long dead). It's purely his immortality that made him undefeatable. I can accept an immortal god only being able to be defeated by the universe's most powerful being. Z fighters still did everything else and it was epic.
Also kinda liked Whis solving **** and it's cool that zeno's helper is his dad (and thus also vados'). I like dragonball's angels, I hope they feature more.
The moment with Gohan was pretty great to me because honestly, what needs to be said? I had forgotten it so it was a nice surprise to me, but Trunks lost 'his' Gohan, all he can do is see this Gohan has the life Trunks probably wanted for him, and he still gets Gohan's 'approval' so to speak. I liked the alternating shots between them, felt a bit like how a film would do it, focussing on facial expression.
Now it's just Trunks & Mai, I love the romantic tragedy of it. It gives DB a sense of stakes back again, even if it doesn't make sense (at this point, what DOES still make sense?)
Also kinda love Zeno "He's annoying."

Anyways, wonder what comes next with Hit and apparently, Goku takes his new outfit again. (So I assume Vegeta will too.)
