Jiren will most likely be focused on after this final Broly release. The Funimation dub will get to his first fight with Goku in May so he may actually be revealed on the Shonen Jump Calendar that month. I may be mistaken but I think Tamashii wants to focus certain releases to be in unison with the Western broadcast since that's their biggest market for Dragon Ball.

No idea what's taking them so long on Hit. Even Banpresto barely got into any of the Dragon Ball Super characters other than the Saiyans.

I really hope they dial back Jirens muscles when they do release it... The prototype is ridiculous. It looks good, but he's WAAY to jacked.

*********!!!! I fell asleep when it went up on bbts. (I work overnights). And it's still on amiami shopping cart purgatory. ****!!!

Honestly can't bother to preorder anymore since I can find them in France pretty easily, even if I have to wait a month or two...
I passed on the first Broly but won't pass on this one.

So far on my checklist, I still have to have Tien, Hercules, Yamcha, Muten Roshi.
And on the ones I absolutely want, there is Gogeta, Android 21 and the new Broly.

By the way, have I said that I finally got the Event Exclusive Vegetto?

A friend of mine that lived in Paris picked it up in December for me aswell as the power pole for Goku.
I was finally able to see him this week.

I must say that I've been waiting for it since November and even though I know that it uses that old 1.0 mold, I like it quite a lot.

Here's a quick pic I took with Vegetto.

Now I can't wait to get Gogeta ^^

Congrats. Does Fnac sells Figuarts or is it certain hobby shops only?

I stopped preordering as well. Majority of Figuarts end up on eBay for $5-10 less (no shipping and no tax) what they’re retail for anyway after all those vendors receive their stock, and they stay that price for a good few months unless it’s a super exclusive sold out type like Goku Black case haha.

Well, La Fnac doesnt' sell any figuarts but they do sell Dragon Stars figures.
Micromania and Zing are selling these along with other "imports"

You can still go to the occasionnal hobby store like gamespirit in Lyon, MangaStory in Paris or conventions.

Micromania is where I got most of the 2.0 figures. ( Gotenks, Teen Bulma, Young Goku, SROE, DBS Trunks and Saiyan Armor Trunks)

When I saw that I could buy them there, I kinda stopped preordering these because it made no sense, heck, it's where I was able to get Goku Black for about 50 to 70€ with no figure shortage x)

I know some stores where you can still find the 1.0 Piccolo x)

A local retailer that sells Tamashii Nations products said they're already half way through their quantity for pre-orders. Only given a very limited amount.

From what it sounds like, he has been selling out super fast on all ordering sites (like Goku Black).
I guess Tamashii didn't think he would sell very well and only produced a limited amount.

I believe Tamashii only produces a predetermined amount for Regular Release whereas, if it were a Web Exclusive, they would wait for all the orders to be processed and produce an amount based on that. The great thing about Regular Releases is that it could be given a reissue down the line.

I try to understand why they do that for Regular release but I really don't....
Were they really expecting this Broly to not sell? it's Broly

Yeah that's true.
The fire sale we see now will all be fine later. He will keep popping up here and there and will most likely be easy to get in stores (like how we see Nappa now ... Which is sad to see Nappa go for so cheap now as though he were android 16).

They want the product they're releasing to keep its value. If they flood the market with the product, it'll be a shelf warmer and be offered at discounts. Once a popular character, such as Broly, sells out at retail and rises in the after market, Tamashii is able to provide more supply and receive more revenue.

There's good and bad to that. I'm not sure if anybody here follows Metal Build but there's been an interesting story about that last month or the month before. Scalpers in Japan bought out all of the Metal Build Evangelion Unit 01 so they could control the after market prices. Tamashii instantly responded with a 2nd wave going into production.

So, in regards to Regular Releases, never pay over retail.

It's going to be interesting to see how accessible Broly (Full Power) and Gogeta (Super Saiyan Blue) will be when released. Retailers are going to be able to reevaluate their pre-orders and the quantity that they have left over once they receive their stock from Bluefin. So, hopefully, there should be more stock that will be accessible for everybody.
