Last time I check, Dragonball Z is an anime, so that's to be expected.

I seriously hope this isn't all they have to show off. I was hoping to see a Yamcha, Tien, or a Bardock just based on feedback to a few photos posted on Bluefin's Facebook page but I'll be very disappointed if they don't at least show something from Battle of Gods.

As for what they have shown...18 looks so much better but I can't say I'm satisfied with it. It should look more like the Banpresto DX PichiPichi figure.

Maybe it's just the mouth that's bothering me, it makes the face look cartoony.

17 looks pretty good but it seems to have a bit of a chubby face...so excited to see that normal form Goku finally get a release date...and WOW, that Shenron is awesome. So far so good but again, I hope this isn't all they have to show.

The only flaw 18 has to me is she doesn't appear to have eyelashes. Other than that I think she looks pretty good.

Now that you mention it they could add a few lines for the eyelashes...but after comparing it to caps from the anime I think it really is just the mouth, the smile just doesn't look right to me. Maybe the alternate heads will be better.

Well Im happy with it; like was said, we get 5 releases a year, and now we have 5 figures for next year. There was honestly no need for tamashii to make more protos when they wont be out for a couple of years.

I immediately noticed the chubby face too, but I think it actually makes him look more sinister, so I'm cool with it. Also, hopefully the working model will be leaner or the interchangeable faces will be a little less chubby.

Very little difference imo, both are animated shows, its just that anime tends to be more detailed and more mature, but cartoons can emulate that detail, just look at avatar as an example.

All the nitpicking aside, both androids look great to me, and will be a must buy.

All those protos do look good especially the dragon. I really do hope they go through with it & release it next year because it definitely would be the centrepiece in a DBZ Figuarts collection! With all that being said, I'm wondering if BBTS or Amazon or any other retailer is going to get lots of those SDCC Piccolos because I can't afford scalper prices for it

There is no way I am caving in to those scalper scumbags that now infest ebay....

The problem seems to be that people are actually buying from them, which benefits no one. If everyone stopped paying those ridiculous prices the scalpers would give up.

Avatar is American made though and by definition cant be anime.

s.h. figurarts use a 2-piece skirt for characters like her. she'll pose just fine.

Honestly lookn at the shenron figure he looks like hes at least 20inches long like hes 2ce the size of the figuarts zero goku and there what 6inches? And shenron is wrapped around, jus looks so boss lol, and seeing how they made a shenron prototype, who knows if in the future they make an oozaru figure also
