Well let it be known I FULLY understand new characters should have priority. Maybe it could be an SDCC exclusive.

The only way that could be done (without being more repetitive) is if it was a 'perfect' battle damage Goku (Ultimate Battle Bandai figures reference)

A battle damage Goku that has normal, SSj, SSj2, SSj3 interchangeable heads (and belt/sash), that way you can swap the accessories with any Goku.

Use the SSj 2 head on the first release SSj Goku ect.

I love everything about it.

Nice! In any case, it's simple for me: I'm interested in the Namek and Android spans of the series. I'll consider buying a select few of the tournament saga and beyond but not many, if at all. I notice on boards like this that the Buu period is quite popular, but the events up to and including Cell are really what define DBZ to me (just my personal experience, feel free to feel differently).

If more namek characters get made besides Frieza I think I will remove the lower armor parts of scouter Vegeta to have Namek Vegeta.

Imo the buu saga was the worst out of them all, we didnt need silly fusions or goten and ssj3 imo( i still like it but its deff my least favorite) oh and i deff dispise great saiyaman, was such a complete dork lol but jus my opinion, android/cell saga is the best imo has the most in depth story out of every saga and woulda been a great wrap up for the show...but ya i will buy every and any figure they release except repaints cuz i could care less about them lol

imo the Buu saga wasnt that bad, it did have some great moments, like

everyone being killed by Buu while Gotenks and Piccolo were left helpless in the ROSAT

, plus, Vegetto is the combination of the two greatest warriors in the universe, that was a great moment for me. The android saga is still the best saga though.

Saiyaman was dorky for a reason lol; i dont think many people realise that he was based off of kamen rider, just like the Ginyu force was based off sentai/power rangers. he was specifically based on one called "rider man" (notice the similar name lol)

My main gripe with the Buu saga is that it just doesn't feel very inspired. It had great moments, but the Saiyin, Namek and Android saga all led up to a great climax, with an overall relatable course of events. While we may have had fillers etc, it never felt like it had entire plot twists that were pretty useless (to me). For example, Gohan's entire arc in the Buu saga is, more or less, useless. Wasn;t there someone on these boards who didn't want spoilers? Well, out of respect for that, I'll just say again, Gohan's arc in the Buu saga is imho, useless.

Anyway, I respect people liking any part of dbz for whatever reason so I'll shut up about it and I'll welcome any Figuarts DBZ figures over not having any at all.

Also: DBZ Abridged TFS episode 36 is up. Going to watch that right now.

Watching it now; seriously, I prefer the abridged version to the real version now, they are just hilarious everytime. Funimation should give them the rights to dub the anime for money so we can get quicker episodes possibly on TV lol

I'll say this once, because the dub-discussions usually lead to nowhere: I can't watch Kai man. Well I can but there's no point, it's not DBZ to me. It's a matter of pure coincidence I guess, and a little personal taste, and an innate affection for music, but DBZ isn't DBZ without the Funi (early Ocean) score(s) to me. I seriously tear up when I hear the Spirit Bomb theme. The whole happy orchestra stuff, yeah, I can't dig it, it lacks depth to me. I usually watch any anime in japanese, but DBZ, for me, was made cool by what the western dubs did with it. Just my personal feelings. It's all a matter of association mostly anyway.

And Abridged is probably one of my all time favourite comedy series ever. It just blows my entire mind that they managed to make such a brilliantly hilarious show out of a show I already loved to death.

Wish that as well, I'd buy Abridged on DVD. It's almost like a dragon ball z themed Arrested Development man. It's like an insanely massive mountain of brilliant memes.

I only truly prefer TFS's Frieza to the "real" one (whichever dub you prefer). Frieza is seriously an evil mastermind in TFS. The dry sadistic humour suits him so well. He's actually kinda Joker-fied now that I think about it.
