I'm sceptical about any difference between the stickers. It sounds like a superstition backed up with confirmation bias, I have a mix of all and the only issues I had was with regular vegeta like everyone did. What logic would be behind them having tiers of QC and then actually stickering them to make such a clandestine behaviour easier to identify?..

In reality it sounds like a mechanism for collectors to feel like they've got to collect harder, like those shiny pokemon cards. Meanwhile scalpers cash in.

But I wonder what bandai's actual reasoning for different stickers is?

Oh no I might of confused you guys, I was wondering if the boxes for manga Gohan and Piccolo, were they only produced with gold stickers? If so, that's probably why obviously I haven't seen a silver sticker version, and they're reissuing the manga Piccolo version again, but with the gold sticker box?

So the datong bootleg vegeta has the "B. CHINA (random number sequence)" on his right foot, and "(copyright) B/S F T" on his left?

The one I got has nothing on feet, I left my ssj vegeta MiB so I didn't notice someone conned me a fake one. datong one did a good job as a bootleg. most of the other fake figuarts can't achieve the sturdy small joints parts, dunno it will snap thought.

Only Japanese figures has the gold sticker, the rest in Asia are silver.

Datong Vegeta hasn´t got nothing wroten in his feet

I see, thank you for your responses, not sure if they would reissue manga Gohan now since my only doubt is they only ever reissued SSJ Goku and manga Piccolo :[

I've seen some SSJ Vegeta's dropping in bidding prices, maybe influenced by the leaked news?

Hello everyone,

So I have three very expensive figures I still need to collect for this line. SSJ Vegeta, Trunks, and Gohan. What are good prices to pay for these?
Also some say Gohan will be reissued and some says that he won't. So is this a good time to to buy?

thanks in advance

Gohan sdcc 2012 version lowest I found was this linked online store on newegg something called "tsinic99" for 105, box and figure was new so no complaints.
Trunks I got a while back for 115 on amazon, but his price was jacked up to 160 now, so I'm not sure.
SSJ Vegeta I might just take a chance with someone on ebay, hopefully find something good.

Manga Gohan was the last regular release in Japan before they made them all web exclusives, so theres every chance he could still be rereleased, its all about demand.

yea Pretty crazy considering it was less than a month ago someone on Ebay had Trunks and SDCC Gohan together for 215 or best offer. What's causing this recent serge?

supply/demand. When the figures start to run out the prices increase...it's happened with every Figuarts release so far and prices usually remain high until a figure is reissued. SDCC exclusives seem to be exempt from that since they won't be made again...I have a feeling the SDCC prices will rise more over time.

Of course they will. They're exclusives.:lol There's an absolute zero percent chance they'll ever be made again and they were made limitedly to boot. This stuff is a 'be there at the right time' thing. It's as simple as that. That's what exclusives are meant to be. Hell I'm honestly grateful I can get an event exclusive item near it's retail price without ever having gone to said event. Actually even months after that event still. That alone is pretty damn great.

Only thing I disagree with is that the exclusives were in fact the more popular anime versions. That I think sucks. Exclusives shouldn't be the most popular varieties of the most popular character without having that verison in retail imo. Exclusives should cater more to niche collectors, whcih is why I'm pro side characters or special versions like battle damage. Or added accessories like Boba Fett's carbonite han solo with the black series last year.

I wish they'd take this approach with Nappa :/

You'd think make nappa an sdcc ex, but I'm afraid that only costs them more when you add it up.

Nevertheless, I'd rather get a character as an exclusive than not at all, so if a limited event exclusive renders a character's release possible I'm all for it.

Nappa would be a great sdcc ex imo. Great piece for the hardcore collectors. But unfeasible regardless I'm afraid.

Btw if we now assume a vegeta is the sdcc ex, and 17 and kid buu are next... Guess someone's power isn't maximum at all yet...

I had an extra sdcc gohan I had bought... And sold for $60 a while back like a shmo.

Buying extras of any saiyan seems to be a smart investment if you can wait out a year or so.

I kinda morally don't wanna make money of these. I'm not necessarily judging those who do. And I like the idea I can probably sell mine for a good amount in the future if need be. But I'm not gonna buy just to cash in on future raised prices. I'm just not that guy, dunno. It's not very uh... "capitalist" or some would say it's dumb principles, but I just don't feel good about doing it. I don't trade in these items for business. And I don't like boosting the effect of raised after market prices. So yeah not my bag personally.

I considered buying a spare of sdcc Gohan and in the future I might regret not doing so, but somehow ot detracts from my kindof love for collecting these. Somehow owning spares just to sell again detracts from my sense of joy having it. As soon as it's over that one I bought in all my collecting joy, it becomes quantity to me, numbers. Two, three, four, why not buy a boatload and practically become a scalper? I can't keep myself from feeling like that as soon as I start to think about money. It's a weird psychological thing which ruins collecting for me. So I only buy what I plan to keep and display, simple as that.:lol

You are a proponent and succumber to the slippery slope mentality it seems lol

I don't ever really buy extras to sell of anything. Sometimes I have, not to make profit so much as help offset the cost of the stuff I want to keep. I wasn't suggesting everyone should do it, nor do I think you are silly for having a principle against it. Mostly I was just saying that the saiyans from this line are actually pretty safe investments so far, whereas "investing" in most toys is a crapshoot.

Completely agree man - I don't buy things just because they might be worth loads in the future... Sure, it is a perk if it works out that way, however I've never been into buying things for the sake of future profit. It's why I don't get MIB collecting (no offence intended to those that do) but I personally want to enjoy the figure, especially when they are as articulated as this!

I would have loved another SDCC Gohan, just so I could have one with the cape and SSJ head, and the other to display with the SSJ2 head. If they do end up re releasing the manga Gohan I will definitely pick one of those up. I would buy another SDCC Gohan, but I've just finally splashed out on SSJ Vegeta (I couldn't risk not getting him and it was REALLY bothering me!) so I'm not buying any figures for a little while why my wallet recovers lol! Can't wait for it to arrive!
