Well, thats sad, I just fixed the shoulder thing using transparent paper plastic, worked flawless, sadly I have never liked the fact of using paper or other stuff for tighten joints on figures..

I was planning to get another one, for the Trunks head, but I want to wait for the comic con exclusive to know if we will get a vegeta or something else

So speaking of that... Do we have any news for the SDCC release? when is aproxmitely the date they will confirm? can't wait!

Big collection Alex! Oooooh you have Saber, nice! I've wanted an Archer in that form for a while, but if he exists he's not available anymore. Also nice that you have Bastila 3.3/4. I really wish they made KOTOR characters in the Black Series 6" scale, but sadly it seems there's no chance for EU characters in that line.:(

Oh and yeah Bane you're right about Gohan's hair, I do like U Gohan best because his hair is most reminiscent of his ssj2. To be a bit metro about it, it's my favourite hairstyle of all the characters I think.

@crisis: where did you get those accessories for Link? I was gonna make some myself but might be tempted to buy them if they are available. The bow, boomerang, bomb and hookshot are especially necessary.

@crisis Thanks for taking that picture! Poor Batman looks he has an upset stomach. Big Boss looks pretty good!

@FSLAR These Figuarts are already expensive to me, so being that the new Big Boss is $100 by Play arts, I'd say it's might expensive! I'm looking forward to that Solid Snake.

@Silrian Yeah, it's my favorite hairstyle too! I rather just stick with Ultimate Gohan, and it would be great if they retooled some, but if they don't, maybe they can get four characters out! Being that I wished Goku would have stayed dead, I love the idea of Gohan taking over his father's mantle. I would like them including a SSJ2 head as well, so it would be like he was wearing the uniform before he got the power up. It wouldn't need any new sculpting, since it's the same thing. They could move the front strand to the other side just to make it different, but it's not a big deal, since it would switch sides when his hair blew opposite directions.

I thought you guys might find this interesting, since the Androids are coming up. It's from a Toriyama interview from the manga:

"The model for No. 16 was Dr. Gero’s son, who died young long ago. He was a high-ranking soldier in the Red Ribbon Army, but he was felled by an enemy bullet. Having a special place in his heart for his own child, Gero gave No. 16 great power and a fearsome explosive mechanism1, but not wanting him to be destroyed in battle if possible, he gave him a gentle personality, which caused No. 16 to become a failure."

"The model for No. 19 was a doll that was displayed in the command center of an enemy base. Way back when, Dr. Gero took it back with him as a war trophy."

"The sole weakness of the genius Dr. Gero’s inventions was that “personality control” didn’t work well, so that’s believed to be the reason why he changed his methods to using humans who were bad to begin with and remodeling them into Artificial Humans, like Nos. 17 and 18. It was thought that he had succeeded with cyborg-types, but ultimately, these were also failures because they wouldn’t listen to orders the way he wanted. He reversed course again, and No. 19 was his first success."

Now that makes #16 much more interesting; he is essentially the embodiment of Geros son!? Makes you laugh aswell when you realise it was basically Geros "son" who helped destroy is perfect creation in cell.

Interesting

Wow that's some of the best piece of background info I've ever seen Toriyama give, love it! Love that he really thought out a solid reason for the twins to be cyrborgs instead of fully artificial robots.

Man can't wait for Tamashii to send 'm out to us.:lol

Is there a book or soemthing out there that gives Toriyama's reasoning for all the sagas of DBZ. It would be an interesting read.

Oh, I actually forgot about toyarena...still had money off vouchers for that site too -_-
Anime Island has sold out on Goku I think. :(

Ha, that's great I really love how everyone here knows DBZ Abridged
Tbh, I gotta know about it just a couple of months back.

What is FSLAR?
:rotfl And if it was asked seriously... :mwaha

Indeed. That was a good and a well thought backstory.

BTW, would you guys like HT to touch this franchise? :chase

@ Bane some sites have the new Big Boss for $80, which is far more affordable. But yes, he is not worth $100, not is Arkham Origins Batman or Deathstroke...especially Batman. Though if you need help getting some of the PAKs for a good price, ask me or anyone in the MGS collectibles thread.

Also that information on the Androids actually seems to make sense, and is intriguing as well.

Hot Toys doing Dragon Ball would be amazing, especially since they may be doing Space Pirate Harlock. Would beat Medicom's 1/6th scale Dragon Ball figures most likely

Awesome! I'm glad you guys enjoyed that. There's a Q and A segment in the manga where readers sent in questions and he answers them, as well as tells what he was going through while writing. It's kind of sad because he'll talk about how he was really sick during parts or he was in pain while writing, but he had a good sense of humor about it. He sure is a trooper. There's a bunch of guide books as well, but I don't own them, and I think a lot are in Japanese. It's good to know a lot of these things, when people are throwing out rumors and such, like how editors forced him to continue. He actually wanted to stop after the first Dragon Ball saga! We wouldn't have gotten Cell if it wasn't for his editors, because he just wanted the Androids to be the villains. And he was the one that made the choice to make Goku the main focus in the Boo arc, because he said Gohan didn't work for him. But maybe he was just trying to get it done fast, because in one of the last books, he said, he wanted to move on to other manga, and work at a pace more comfortable. Although I really like a lot of the imagination, I think it suffered greatly and dislike a lot of what was done to the characters and story. Goku is my favorite character, and he made him a complete idiot and a jerk. I can't lie to myself anymore! You broke my heart Toriyama! You broke my heart!!!! And Boo? What the heck man?

I'll post new info for you guys, if I find anything you might enjoy!

@FSLAR Thank you so much FSLAR for the info and offer! I actually am very interested in the MGS PAK. I've been watching them for a long time on ebay hoping for affordable prices.

@Intruder Hot Toys would be amazing, but I couldn't afford it! I love looking at all the new ones. Those guys are so darn talented!

Did you watch BoG? I think you'll forgive Toriyama after that.

HT would absolutely rock and quite frankly, I'm amazed they still haven't looked into this property. Prices would be stratospheric though with their current pricing trends. I loved the Medicom RAH Goku but there was something amiss which hindered my decision to get them. Their VCD line was amazing though viz. Kid Goku!

NOPE! I wish it did! I brainwashed myself by constantly reading tons posts of why the Boo arc is the best, to get those thoughts out of my head and to convince me otherwise. It worked for awhile, but I can't do it anymore. I don't think he knows who Goku is anymore. His sacrifice at the Cell Game, and building up his son, was a culmination of everything he worked towards. He matured greatly, and I think Toriyama disregarded a lot of that.

Wow Bane you really came around on that didn't you? As much as I want to like the post cell content, and as much as I like our alternate plotline ideas (heaven vs hell theme, ditch babidi, dabura is main enemy and buu is his greatest demon), you can't deny that most of the postcell conten is crappy writing. If i wasn't for Vegeta's atonement, seeing grown gohan and Sean's epic ssj3 scream, I'd ignore it as much as I ignore GT.
.
What exactly makes Goku a jerk though? What are you thinking about when you say that?

Seriously though, alternate Buu period plotline:
A real tournament saga, up until the semi finals (which are supreme kai, gohan, vegeta and goku). Supreme Kai bows out of the semi finals against Gohan because he's managed to let Dabura come out of hiding by provoking Gohan to reveal his full power. (Lots of other epic fights in this tournament saga like Gohan vs Piccolo or whatever have you.)
Dabura has gathered enough energy to free his incarcerated biggest of all demons because of the sick tournament energy, cutting the second semi final, goku vs vegeta, off. Sepreme Kai realises Dabura has enough energy and steps forth to the z fighters to tell them to stop Dabura from escaping. All of them, combined, are utterly godsmacked by Dabura who then leaves to free Buu. They all chase Dabura. To his ship.
They go in, they fight Dabura's demons like puipui (and it would be cool if Dabura brought in a majin cell and a majin frieza here, just for kicks, literally. Vegeta could defeat Frieza and Goku Cell just as a minor way to see them doing so, for fun. Esepcially seeing Vegeta beat Frieza could be a cool triumph moment). Then Dabura bewitches Vegeta to make him evil. The fight between him and Goku proceeds as normal.
Gohan and Supreme Kai can't stop Dabura from freeing Buu while Vegeta is holding up Goku. Vegeta breaks free but too late, Buu is free as well. He's freed as Super Buu. (There's no Fat Buu) Dabura vanishes and Supreme Kai suspects he's going to prepare to attack the Kai world (Heaven sort of). Supreme Kai takes Gohan to train him with the Z sword, leaving Vegeta and Goku to handle Buu. (That is to say, stall him.)
They have a hard time with him but ultimately super Buu eats them unexpectedly. Inside they find out old Kai is trapped in there and pull him out. Then Super Buu becomes Kid Buu, which is a purer version of evil and actually stronger (because the Kai's good soul held him back), but he's temporarily in shock of what happened which makes Goku and Vegeta escape with Old Kai. The Oldest Kai tells them the secret of fusion, but dies after being trapped inside Buu too long (he's finally free to die essentially). Goku and Vegeta fuse into Vegito and fight Kid Buu while Gohan is becoming Ultimate Gohan by training under Supreme Kai.
Vegito very narrowly loses to Kid Buu. But Kid Buu then threatens the entire world including obviously Bulma and Trunks and this provokes Vegeta's atonement. Vegeta dies but he takes Kid Buu with him, that's how freakinly epically powerful Vegeta's rage is. Vegeta's most glorious moment in the whole series. Goku's anger at Dabura over Buu (who manages to kill many people while Goku and Vegeta learn to fuse) leads him into becoming his version of ssj2 (which looks like ssj3 possibly).
Dabura has begun assaulting heaven and is fighting different Kais who he all takes out. Goku finally finds focus after his anger and travels to find Dabura. He engages him but ultimately loses to Dabura's full power.
Enter Ultimate Gohan who eventually does defeat Dabura via the spirit bomb that he learns from Supreme Kai without the audience knowing he did so (Goku learned it from King Kai remember? Surprise, it's the grandest Kai technique - a divine attack).
And then there's some sort of stupid stinger where you see that not all evil has died with Dabura or whatever.

Supreme Kai restores Vegeta's life for his nobility in fighting the king of all demons' worst creation. Or they use the DB's again, whatevs.
He returns to his family, Gohan returns to Videl and Goku goes off with Uub.

The End of DBZ.

^ That, is I think, what I would've done or at least what I can think of what I wanted to see. What do you guys think about that? Obviously I've omitted a lot of instances where you can say 'they fight' lot of existing fights remain and even more are added etc. All the fights can be as long or short as would've been cool. Whatever, It's more the use of characters and plotline that I feel could be improved this way.

So, he does have a nose...

I don't consider the Buu arc to be the best too but it was the conclusion (canon) of the greatest anime series* ever. My biggest gripe would be the fighting sequences. Over time, it was a mishmash of random, blurred kicks and punches instead of exercising actual combat techniques.

Even my expectations from BoG were not met and the SSG form was lackluster both in appearance as well as power. But the thing I loved about it was

Goku's maturity in accepting that there is someone even stronger, more powerful than him in the universe whom he can't defeat solo and thereby being ashamed to have to resort to 'borrowing' others' power

What exactly makes Goku a jerk though? What are you thinking about when you say that?
Seriously, I'd like to know that too.

Seriously though, alternate Buu period plotline:
Nice alternative. Though there's one plothole - when and why does Vegito separate into Goku and Vegeta??
