S.H Figuarts SS3 Goku

At first glance,I was alittle underwhelmed by the small size of the figure. He cost me roughly $40 shipped from Amazon. But, I have always had a place for the Dragonball franchise in my childhood, and couldn't pass this up.

Packaging: I will give it 4 stars. Although it has some nice art work on it. The cardboard is cheap. Almost a snap type model box. For those who like to hold on to their boxes, this one will need to be placed in a area, where it won't get crushed or damaged. Cause the odds of that happening are high. The inserts are more of a better grade plastic. And the parts are safely packed.

The figure:
On to the figure. I will be giving him 4 stars out of five. Although the pain apps are very pleasing, The thing that hurts this figure is the weight of the hair. Standing him up without the stand is a pain, and even after finding the sweet spot in his joints to get him to stand, he will fall after a few minutes.

The paint defiantly meets my personal standards, and does the cartoon character justice. With almost endless possibilities on posing the figure, It is simple an amazing piece.

Accessories:
We get a total of 7 hands, a halo, 2 switch out faces, a stand, and a spirit affect. With all this included, this is a 5 stars out of 5. The hands add the ability to go from a normal stance, to fighting and meditating. As does the two faces.
The stand is also a nice touch. If you get this figure new, you will have the small task of putting the stand together. Be gentle, the stand is made of plastic, and has a fragile feel to it.

But the biggest pain in the ass of the figure, is not just getting him to balance on the stand, due to his heavy head/ hair, but his effect. It comes in four pieces, that you have to assemble yourself. There are cuts in the plastic where you connect the pieces. Sounds easy enough, But u are almost done constructing the effect, one piece will slip out, then another. Maybe you will be better at the assembly part than others. If you have a short fuse, be prepared for smoke breaks, and regrets of buying!!!

In closing, I would have to say, after an overall 4 out of 5 stars, I would highly recommend this figure to any Dragon Ball collector. Or even a great starter piece to a new collector. es, the figures are on a smaller scale. At although a small piece, they can pack a powerfull and high price tag on the second market. But It will take you back to the days, of running home from school to catch back to back episodes of DBZ.

Didn't it come with the brown Japanese shipping box? All my SHF DB exclusives ordered from American retailers have.

2nd Cell I ordered as a gift as arrived in the country. Am wowed that both of these have arrived internationally in less than a week from Amazon.

So I'm thinking about getting into this line, but not too sure at the moment. How often do new figures get released and what characters are definitely in the works to be made?

We just got Perfect Cell. We have seen Normal Goku, Normal Vegeta, Krillin, Nappa, Freeza, and Android 18 at SDCC.
I think like 4 maybe 5 releases a year!

We will be extremely lucky if we get 5 releases lol; this year we had 3, 4 if you count Gohan. This line moves ALOT slower than some of you seem to be convinced of sorry to say!

The only figure currently being made is Vegeta, the rest havent been confirmed, only shown, so we dont know whats coming next.

Yeah deano is right, which sucks cause there's so many awesome figures they could make, personally the more variety in a line the more likely I am to get into it, Bandai needs to realize this and do some saiyans and villains and balance them with new characters and new outfits... It's sooo simple

It seems to me that Bandai is listening though. They did start including energy effects (finally!) and more accessories with the figures.

Guys quick question.

Do Toy Arena mark down??

I want to order Cell & Trunks for my brother for Christmas but want to try & avoid customs if I can...getting stuck with VAT & Duty on £80's worth of figures makes a reasonable Chrimbo pressie a ridiculous one :(

The combination of Nappa, Vegeta, Krillin, and Goku makes since, cause thats one scene. Maybe Freeza will be the SDCC exclusive... It seems like they are going by diorama scenes!
Im hpoing, thats if enough collectors/buyers jump on board with this line, that the amount o figures produced and released each year goes up. There are endless amounts of character releases. Be it attiire changes, ss versions, battle damaged versions.... Possibly Deluxe versions, like the Giant Monkey, maybe freeza an his floating chair!!!

Thanks for all the info guys! Since the releases are pretty slow I don't think I'll have a problem jumping right in lol. Gotta have Cell he looks fantastic.
