This is a pretty good thread, I always thought of this board as a 1/6 and statues site. I might stick around.:wave Giving this some thought, the only fig we really need in my opinion is a battle damaged Goku ( completely torn off shirt, those "scuff lines", some bloody paint apps, and a few face welts ) with both normal and SS1 hair/faces like with Trunks. After that I just want this line to last as long as possible. Bulma's my next top choice. She's the most important non-combat character in the series and played a major part in the stories well into the Cell saga. It really wouldn't be a Dragonball line for me without her. I originally voted for final form Cooler as I really think that's the best villain design in the series. He's dissapionting as a character though, so I'm changing my initial vote. I still really want him though. I do hope he gets made. Majin Vegeta is the current front runner I'm most interested in. It marked the end of Vegeta's character arc and the fight between him and Goku was one of the best. Brolly is a cool looking character that is a nothing character wise for me. I'd like to see him but I'd want a final Cooler first ( I'm aware that I'm in the minority in that ). Kid Buu is just inevitable, he does need to be made to complete a Z collection. I'll buy him, I'll buy just about any Dragonball action figures, but I never really liked him. That form is visually boring and has no personality at all. At least you could tell Brolly had emotions, even if it was just a million shades of Hate and Rage. Kid Buu was a blank slate, destruction for destruction's sake. I did like fat Buu though, his confusion at the beginning of his arc was the best part of that character. Probably not the most profitable choice for a figure though. Super Buu is the form I like the most. Much more interesting visually than Kid Buu, and a bit more expressive to boot. The Z fighter's I can live without. As much as I'd like them, they didn't really play any role in Z. Now if we get a original Dragonball line that's were I'd like to see a Yamcha, Tien, or Roshi ( more likely a Jacky Chung ). After kid Goku and King Piccolo of course.

Also, of all the figures to try and get; Bulma?? This series is about articulation! What good is that on Bulma, a character that, at most, lifts her arms up?

Bulma is one of those characters that would benefit more from the zero line.

There's quite a few poses I can think of off the top of my head. In a straight line up of the good guys she could be confidently pointing forward in a "let's go" kind of pose. She could be leaning over Goku yelling at him ( expecially with that embarrassed face on normal Goku ), and she could be running away from an explosion with a freaked out face. I'm sure I could think of more with time. She represents the more comedic parts of Dragonball, a part I'd like to have in toy form. I don't collect unarticulated figures, so a zero doesn't interest me.

^ yeah that is quite annoying. Bit weary now of seeing the "1 post" count.

Well if they were on another board, they would have had to make a new account. Bulma? You doomed us! You butcher! JUDAS! I'm kidding! I'm kidding! I'm really interested seeing the results!

Welcome Roger! I agree with what you said about Kid Buu. I would like Super Buu much more as well. I'm also so happy to see you're a fan of Dragon Ball stuff. I'm with you on wanting those characters on that end. They really didn't do much in Z. I loved how Krillin, Tien, Chiaotzu, and Yamcha teamed up to train while, Goku was away for three years with Kami. They were like the Super Friends teaming up to save the village from the Lava. I'd buy Bulma too for those reasons you said. You could do a lot of fun things with her! She's awesome throughout the entire series!

Welcome Roger!:)

Your defence of Bulma is intesting. Shes nowhere near a wanted figure for me rhough. I just don't need such a prestige version of her. I just don't see Tamashii having enough faith in her to invest in he either and I don't suspect she'll get many votes, so I'd say it's a wasted vote but hey it's your choice. I tend to be a pragmatic voter snyway.

Personally I agree with you on Buu, but his status as a fan fav villain is nigh-unquestionable as well as understandable so I've just accepted that.

I just love reading people's reasoning behind wanting a character. I feel this is the best voting ever! It's great seeing the passion for these characters! No arguments, just the community coming together!

Purely amazing! I think Pwn should send this with the results of the other tread to show how much some people want him that they go through the trouble of making a working 3d model to fix any articulation problems/doubts that other people have
Thanks Killian, I'm glad someone appreciates my effort :)

By the way Big Deano, this is only a rough concept that was hammered out in 20 minutes, I plan to refine it to make it look better and function better. Also, that area (his baggy pants) did move in the show, quite a lot actually.

I see what you're saying about his baggy pants, but I also see what Big Deano is saying. His pants did move quite a lot but when they did move it wasn't very noticeable

PWN I think the guys at Bandai should see this documentary that explains why the west is so interested in villain characters, and why we want figures of them.

[ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9peY-v1pfFk[/ame]

It can be chalked up to culture difference, I have always found the hero incomplete without their nemesis, and I believe many westerners feel that same way.

This is evident in how Jakks Pacific marketed their DBZ figures, they had hero/villain two packs frequently.

I bought a revoltech Zone of the Enders Jehuty figure, but only did so because they announced that his nemesis Anubis was in production.

Cool post dude!

"We need the villains for us to understand the heroes, what they are, and what they're not." sums it up quite nicely.

I'd add however that 1. the villain also symbolizes the strength of the hero, as entails is that which has to be overcome. 2. a lot of people just like characters. Those characters might be villains, but whether they're good or evil can come second to the iconicography of a character that speaks to a person.

So that's 3 different aspects of why villains can be appealing.

I can't wait for that documentary! I really enjoyed the Secret Origins one and I always look up interviews on youtube and listen to podcasts with comic creators.

Killian, if you mean bluefin then yes; all of the dbz figuarts we have had are web exclusives in japan, they arent normal releases.

I'm hoping Goten and trunks have both interchangeable heads ssj and normal like adult trunks has now. I really want to see them but no one is seems to feel the same ( ._.) if they are smart they should release gotenks first that way everyone has to buy them. Its a win win for both of us.

Here's the order of the most voted to the least:

1.)Kid Buu
2.)Majin Vegeta
3.)Mystic Gohan, Armor Trunks
4.) 18, Broly
5.)Imperfect Cell, 17, Bulma, Great Saiyaman w/normal/SSJ heads
6.)Super Buu, 16, Bojack movie Gohan, Broly movie Trunks, Vegito, SSJ4 Vegeta, Janemba, Raditz, Battle Damaged Goku, SSJ4 Goku, Bardock, SSJ2 Goku, 19, 20, Kid Gohan, Tien, Cooler, Goten, Kid Trunks, Gotenks
