@Tblake I disn't know that but I think combining tamashii collectors with-non tamashii collectors would be interesting to me. Many of us compare between import already anyway (take the new star wars figures as an example).

Sure, I could see the two being combined reasonably enough. Although the Star Wars Figuarts have their own section. The Marvel/DC ones probably do also, so the general Figuarts thread is usually just the more minor series.

Press Start ( I believe it was start ) and it shows a move list.

It seems more basic than I thought it would be, and the demo gives you 4 characters, which is the entire pool you get to see which I thought was BS. It wouldn't be nearly as bad, but you have to choose 3 characters for your team, and 3 for the enemy team, so it's a max difference of 1 character played.
The moves are actually just combos, there isn't any dragon punch/fireball motions (Quarter Circle motions and such) which I found jarring.

The switching mechanic is actually just touching a different character on the lower screen, which was a nice change from the Marvel 2/3 button combinations.

There are no supports to choose as far as I could tell, so that was a bummer, but you can Z-Assist at least with your partners? I didn't actually get to try that as of yet though.

All I really did is beat the crap out of a very very easy setting AI, and used Galick Gun twice, which was pretty cool. Got into a beam struggle I guess? Didn't see any notes on that mechanic though. Also apparently you're able to get to 200% energy somehow? Don't quite understand how to break 150%, but I assume it's health based. When you're at a lower health, you get a breakthrough or something to hit 200% or something I guess. I wasn't paying attention to the match at all times, and the computer is so bad that I still wasn't in any danger.

If people are thinking about making a new thread for more varied discussion, why put more walls up by limiting it to specific figures? These threads already exist. If youre talking about combining multiple subjects why not just take it to the sandbox where the discussion doesnt have to be limited?

Megahouse is a statue company but as of lately they have been making this one piece line called variable action heroes. The articulation is better than a dbz figuart, but they are a little bigger than figuarts.

I wouldn't be opposed to the idea of a general thread to freely discuss imports and perhaps compare and contrast since there seems to be a lot of that going on anyways. The specific threads could be used for just that, specifics. For comparisons and more general talk, the import thread would be where to go.

As far as going off topic every now and then on this thread, I personally don't mind it every once in a while. If a topic comes up that I'm not interested in, I simply don't comment and if I wanna talk DBZ, I'll post DBZ stuff. No need to micromanage and worry about off topic stuff. To anyone complaining about off topic stuff, take my advice and post whatever the hell you want. If people wanna go back on topic they will, if not, then tough cookies.

After watching episode 4 of Super, I think it's safe to say that all those super-fantasy elements of like anthropomorphic dogs and humanoid cats in suits living amongst everyone else has officially been retconned out of the series. Society is way more "normal" and relatable to our own, since the general population seems to be totally unaware of the concept of ki, the Cell Games was most likely treated as a "non-event," and I wouldn't be surprised if the moon is brought back with no explanation whatsoever.

Damn, that sucks if it's true. I for one approved of King Furry and his political views especially on intergalactic illegal immigration.

That's a major letdown since that was an trivial but fun part of the Dragon Ball world. Do dinosaurs not exist anymore either? What does this mean for Icarus? There was a huge snake in the first episode, but aside from that, all the other fantastical creatures are gone. Even the World Tournament stuff seems to not make sense now since there was CLEARLY a lot of ki and otherworldly stuff going on in public. This can actually become a huge inconsistency if you really think about it.

No need to jump to conclusion. Just because we haven't seen them doesn't mean they don't exist anymore. We only have 4 episodes out and it would've been a waste of screen time just throwing in random shots of not even secondary characters.

Have to agree with Shonen here. We didnt see ANY "furries" for pretty much all of Z, but the king did appear at the end to give energy iirc. Also, dinos were in BoG.

The king also appeared during the cell saga to oversee the Cell games, and he knew Goku was the same kid who beat King Piccolo despite being a SUper Saiyan. Hell he even recognized Piccolo

Yes there was a fairly large snake in episode 1 of Super, but other than that, I really don't foresee Toriyama & his team bringing back the humanoid animals & free roaming dinosaurs. I feel he wants to keep earth as strictly human inhabited, and use all those imaginative creatures as alien races for Beerus to exploit. Just my hunch.

For those that's been watching Super, look at how the everyday citizens gaze in sheer awe & shock when Trunks & Goten leap high into the air, amongst other "supernatural" things the cast is used to doing IN PUBLIC. It's like everything that's been documented in the past has been completely forgotten by everyone.

Not when there's videotape of aliens crash landing in a city or fighters levitating during the World Martial Arts tournaments.. I'm just saying, from a practical standpoint, ki should be common knowledge on the earth of DBZ, however I realize watching the citizens reactions of Trunks/Goten/Vegeta is for pure comedic intent on Toriyama's part.

Another thing I just remembered, in BoG, Goten was shocked when he first encountered Pilaf, he had no idea what he was. I think he called him a monkey (and in turn, Pilaf was shocked when he seen Trunks leap several feet in the air over them, like he had never seen ANYONE do that before). In Super, however, he has no such reaction & treats him like everyone else.
