Guys.... I'm sorry to break it to you.... But the animal humanoids were never real in the first place.

We see it all from Goku's point of view and he traumatically grew up alone after his only known companion and parental figure died. He hallucinates and has a very deep psychological trauma that makes him view the world as this weird place with talking animals and dinosaurs and women without balls. It's clearly genetic because after multiple severe childhood traumas his son Gohan has it too. Now that Toriyama's shifting to trunks and goten, the latter being less traumatised, we start to see things more normally.

This franchise is about the deep psychological trauma of children, it's Pan's Labyrinth ****.:lecture

On a serious note: did everyone's
memory of the buu events seriously got wiped out!?!?!?!?!?!

Lol, have you ever read the theory of Ash Ketchum being in a coma? That's a serious mind*****k right there.

Your voice was fine, but as someone said try reposing the figure a bit during the review. You've got some really nice poses in your collection (I've already stolen your Goku V Frieza pose!) so perhaps you could have the figure in a series of dynamic poses throughout the review to show off the articulation. Sort of like Clipper King; a guy on this forum that reviews HT.

Hey guys,

Been catching up on the posts! so on the topic of extreme butoden demo: 4 characters (goku, gohan, vegeta, buu) and acually there ARE assists. Just press L or R in the character select and there's a list of them. Your selection is based on points, so a team of 3 uses all the points, or you can pick one character and 4 assists or 2 characters and 2 assists etc. Reaching 200% ki is indeed life dependent, it is when your single character is 50% health or below or the total average of your teams health is 50% or below. It is called "awakening mode", in those mode you have access to 200% and are able to do your 200% ultimate attack (whether you start from ground or air is character dependent). You can also press L + B to enter a sparking state when you are awakened.

Also, if you do an attack that launches the opponent across the screen you can use i think 25% ki to do a dash cancel attack to continue the combo a bit, it is done by pressing forward + R + B i think. Every characters "A" button attack is also unique and they do different things in the ground or air, for example goku does a ki blast on the ground and has an air throw when he jumps. There is also something called "surprise attack" or soemthing, i forgot how much Ki but i think its either L+ one of the attack buttons or R + one of those buttons and the character uses ki to do a quick special attack for example goku will do a kaioken attack and charge at the enemy, and gohan will do his dragon punch attack like he did on cell.

And yes there are no street fighter-like inputs in this game, it is essentially more like "dial a combo" kind of like the first dbz budokai. Although characters DO have a special ki attack that can be used without comboing for 50% ki, for example for goku its kamehameha. Overall, this game feels very similar to an anime-fighter like Blazblue, GG, or Under night in birth, however it is definitely not as deep or complicated, it's still very fun IMO, i just wish there was in-game transformations. The only time they transform is during the ultimate attacks.

sorry for the long post, but thats just the basic low-down of what I figured out! Also, since the AI sucks i challenged myself by using only one character with assists and allowed them to take me down to 50% health first XD i find vegeta to be the most aggressive AI as well.

It's not bad at all, but the scottish accent is just funny. Especially when you do sound like a well known actor.

@Prod and SHonen lol, wtf guys.:rotfl

Lol @ fathotei

I will keep that in mind magpiemad! Dont worry, reviews from now on will have some poses in them; like I said, sdcc Goku was planned as a shorter review to go along with regular Goku but it got corrupted.

@shonen yeah it really is. Even the "collector" shops like forbidden planet dont really cater to anime, at least up here in Glasgow.

So has everyone seen Rof?

Unlock your inner Z fighter

I saw ROF, i liked it alot up until the ending. I feel that the ending was a very cop out ending, pretty anti-climactic. Everything else was great though, good mix of action and comedy, and the fighting is so much better, it's high-speed but it shows them actually fighting with martial arts and not just barrage punches and kicks etc. I think DBS will have fighting like this.

The way I see it is as follows. DB was the humans time, DBZ was the age of the Saiyans, and DBS is the dawning of the gods. The franchise as a whole is predominantly a shonen franchise. To keep in that style, the fighting and action needs to be kept at a certain level. The humans have long since outlived their usefulness and with gods thrown into the mix, even more so. I still want the minor cast to be present but I just don't see them doing anything other than being used as tools of comedy or as dramatic plot devices. The tier of power is so dramatically high that no human has a chance of even coming close to being able to actually be useful in a fight. Hell, even Gohan who was once the strongest character in the series isn't even useful, although him and the other Saiyans/non-humans can still catch up if Toriyama so wanted.

What I want from the series is a good mixture of the Saiyans and non-humans to have epic fights shrouded in a solid plot with some good writing to boot. The humans just aren't relevant anymore in terms of fighting and I really don't see how they can be at this point. Yamcha specifically is at a point where his character just needs to stay as a cheerleader and be kept in the background as much as possible. It'd be a waste of screen time to try to develop his character, since I and a majority of people just wouldn't care. There's more interesting characters that could be expanded upon than Yamcha. Even Tien and Krillin are kind of finished in terms of character development. They're just boring in comparison to the rest of the cast imo.

I absolutely agree with where you're coming from. Honestly I do. And I actually like what you're saying. I like what you're wanting. But. I like what I want more. If he can find a way to keep the humans relevant, I'll be a happy camper. Even if it's something like what happens with the Z Team and Frieza's soldiers in the movie. Relevance and badassery.

Yeah I've seen that one too. Then there's the Ed, Edd, n Eddy one and Winnie the Pooh one. No cartoon is safe :panic:

Winnie the poo? I'll have to read that one. Have you heard all of their mickymouse and Disney land theories?

Yeah the ending was completely unnecessary. Goku was the one that really wasted time and should've stopped d**king around with Frieza. His fight was very drawn out and Vegeta barely got any battle time. He was the one that just wanted to stop the games and just kill Frieza. It's not even for a second that anyone actually thought that everyone died and the movie was gonna end with a destroyed Earth. The ending was just stupid. The rest of the movie was fantastic though.

yeah i totally agree, the event that made vegeta stepped in should have happened signficantly earlier so that vegeta gets more action time and get the spotlight for once, especially since he has such a long history with frieza. Also i feel like there should have been less or no senzu beans, killed the suspense a few times for me.
