He's a club-footed midget with some seriously obtrusive, badly-conceived rubber cape parts and poor engineering decisions.

Damn shame they didn't just stick with their original prototype. This version looked so much better in every way:

Lol. Yeah the proto of Vader looked promising but as far as I can tell from the picturet the proto MIGHT have the same height as the vader released or maybe again its just the angle.

I dont know, it's just that the storm trooper behind him looks like if you put those two together side by side Vader wouldnt look a tall menacing villain just the same one released. Maybe its just me. 🤔

In love with Phasma lately

Figuarts Vader is way too small to look good in a collection tbh. He's barely taller than Luke and it just doesn't look right. For now the Mafex is the best option.

I still think the elite series Vader is the best one out there for proportion and scale.....looks well next to SHF Jedi Luke...Will post photo later

You dont meant this monstrosity do you?

Please tell me you are joking man, you would be better off with a statue if you think that limited brick of metal deserves a place on display. Sorry to be harsh, but the elite series is just......no, just no.

Big deano.....why not give a guy a chance....

Can you tell me how to upload a photo and maybe you'll see what I mean....

Thanx

Sorry man, like I said, I didnt mean to be as harsh as I did, but whenever I see elite series figures rage mode just takes over. I have said before, a bit of metal doesnt make a figure a collectible, and if used on joints the figure becomes a floppy mess.

Anyway, what way do you post? web, or tapatalk?

With tapatalk you will have a much easier time using the camera feature in the post settings, posting a pic as an attachment doesnt tend to work too well.

That should help, but honestly you wont convince me at least, elite series arent even on black series levels to me, let alone the levels figuarts and mafex are, but feel free to show folks :)

I agree with the others here, while not perfect, mafex vader looks to be the best representation...for now.

In certain angles, he looks perfect though hehe (i think his helmet sits too far up top)

I did what fwoosh did and snapped the head peg in half, it sits much more naturally on the head with that mod.

At the bottom you see the "quick reply" section correct? The arrow next to it is for advanced posts, thats where you can find the camera and img icons :)

so were you all you guys who picked up obi happy with the paint job? cause I'm thinking about ordering one with my AHH luke pre order.

looks better than the BS to me.

what's the release date on that?

September this year (9月). Being better than the Black Series release is more or less a given, but this looks less like it came from the line that gave us the First Order Stormtrooper and Jedi Luke and more like a generic Figuarts release from a few years back. Really not liking how prominent and simplistic the joints look, or the fact that they've upped the price on a release that doesn't come with his poncho, an unmasked headsculpt or even effect parts for his backpack and flamethrowers.

Then again the only other Jango Fett higher-end than the Black Series release is that one Sideshow 1/6 figure that seems to be riddled with QC and design issues :dunno

Something about the helmet bugs me. I think it's the shape of the visor and the way the dome slants toward the back of his head.

Edit: something else bugs me even more about the entire figure. It's not Boba.
