Glorious! How easily do the Stormies' heads pop off? I'm reluctant to pull too hard!

I got a Figuarts Stormtrooper and replaced its head with the wind swept hair head from Figuarts' Jedi Luke. The Stormtrooper head wasn't too difficult to pull off at all. I didn't heat it in any way, if I remember correctly. I also had to remove the peg in the Stormtrooper head so the Luke head would fit correctly.

However, the wind swept hair head is only held to my Stormtrooper body by some Blu-Tack, though, as the neck/head holes/pegs on the Stormtrooper body don't match up with the Jedi Luke heads. Don't know if that would also be the case with this new ANH Luke's heads.

Here's a pic of my figure before I put the Blu-Tack in, but that didn't change how the figure looks at all: https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=145164&p=8528926&viewfull=1#post8528926

Yes the tunic is from Rickhor. Just the sleeves are slightly too short. As for his head it was super easy to do. But I took the storm trooper neck and head off. Once you do that lukes head will fit snug into the socket. I also took the neck peice from the BS luke Trooper and placed it over his neck.

Thats a Rickhor top? Didnt even know she made those, next purchase definitely! Speaking of ANH Luke, looks like it just got delivered home, so expect the review tonight or tomorrow!

It's such a gorgeous figure definitely my favorite so far. Yeah I actually ordered them before the BS version came out

He definitely is an excellent figure. That "smiling" face though! Mines just happens to be slightly cross-eyed too so......yeah, under the helmet you go!

It could be just the photo, but, his lightsaber blade looks longer than others I've seen. By comparison, the Qui Gon one I'm having to use for Obi Wan looks a little short to me. How do they compare to you!?

Mace in da place!!

Yep, he arrived earlier. (MyKombini are great for that, I only ordered him a week ago. Obi Wan took 2 weeks.) He looks so good in hand. His legs are a bit floppy at the knees and his saber is a loose fit in his hand, but he stands ok. I don't know when I'll be setting him up for pics as there are a busy few days ahead. Rest assured I'll get round to him and the duel of the fates as soon as I'm able.

Here it is; you know, one of these days im going to beat daredevil and eriva to be the first review, really thought I had it this time xD

I still prefer the Black Series version.

:wink1:

Just kidding.

Excellent review. :goodpost:

Havent compared it to Qui Gons or Mace Windus, but Obis and Jedi Lukes lightsabers are the exact same length as farm boy Lukes :p

Latest days I've been thinking about the eventual chance to see a S.H. Figuarts ROTJ Luke in full Jedi Robes, since that's my favorite version of the character... but I guess it will be made by Mafex before.
Actually, I don't like any fabric piece on a S.H. figure, perhaps only capes and tunics, but I prefer sculpted robes over the body.

Rickhor409 is many folks (including mine) go-to cloth goods maker for sh figuarts. She has done the jedi tunic for Luke before, and it looks amazing but it is quite difficult to make apparently hence why she hasnt done any in a while.

Its actually quite funny when you realize the actual outfit in the film is always the same just with a couple strips of fabric over it for the tunic. Rickhors design is actually better than what the actual film does.

Just had a set of Bandai Model kit pictures pop up on my FB feed from ani-com. I wonder if there is a Figuarts display....

Ooohh do you have a link? A lot of these cons seem hard to google for some reason.
