Oh I certainly hope so...
I really love the SHF figures and have replaced many of my Black Series ones in my collection. However...I have struggled with the parameters of my collection for some timeand have come up with a somewhat workable solution.
Primary human portrait characters (Han, Luke, Obi-Wan, Rey, Leia, Qui-Gon, etc) I will get in the SHF line. TBS is just so bleach in their portrait renderings that I feel they are worthless to me.
Primary mechanical or armored characters (Imperial or First Order Troopers, Droids) TBS and Bandai models are fine with me. I know that the SHF are considerably cleaner and what not, but I get so many troopers and not all are represented in SHF, plus the price is a consideration. Viewing them for 5-6 feet away, there isn't much visable difference.
And that leaves us with Vader and Ren. I got the SHF Ren (1st, helmeted) because he was better than TBS by far, especially the lightsaber. With Vader, sadly I must admit that currently the best one out there as far as proportions and size with relative accuracy is TBS. The Mafex has too many goofs in the armor and helmet for it's price and the SHF is simply too small. I am a Vader purist, once owning a Vader costume that cost me nearly 7K to be accurate to ANH, so necessarily I am very picky about my Vader figures. Hopefully there will be a SHF Rogue one Vader that will be nice and sized properly.
