Hey everyone,
How is Nin Nin game as far as responding to emails? I sent them a message through their site on Friday and haven't heard back. Am I being too uptight about reply speeds?
If you send two back to back they reply faster, not sure why but it's what I do.

Disregarding price, which is the better K-2SO? Figuarts or Black Series? I was looking at reviews and while some have criticized the height of the Figuarts, I think it fits in well with the rest of the line. The BS looks too big for a Figuarts collection

To me, the Figuarts K2 looks more accurate for scale, not to mention the insane articulation. Black Series just feels too big, but the weathering is a nice touch. May have to weather the Figuarts one :)

From these videos, I think I'm most excited for the Shoretrooper. Will be sweet if they do the other 2 versions of the armor, but I guess I'm ok displaying a couple like this anyway.
Especially after seeing the movie, it seemed like there were multiples of the squad leaders and captains. Wasn't sure if this would be classified as a spoiler lol./

Hey one more question actually. I was just doing some touch ups on a black series snowtrooper with some vallejo acrylic gloss varnish I had on hand already. The problem is when I use it straight it shows brush marks and looks blunt (even with very soft brush) and when I dilute it at all it beads up on the surface and does not lay down cleanly. Is the Tamiya acrylic much better at self leveling or do you think there is another technique? Thanks in advance.

What ratio do you dilute it? I would do 2 parts paint and 1 part water

Only one Shoretrooper, though? If that were my box of bliss, I'd have three of each trooper.

*Triggered* :lol

That's the Shoretrooper captain, if it were the grunts. He would have bought more I suppose.

But he got too many of the regular Deathtrooper, there'll be a Tamshii exclusive on the one with the pauldron.

Wish I could get these rn but I can't, do you think they'll be available for a while? Will they likely get discounted like mace?

Honestly the only reason I'm so hesitant with the prices isn't that I'm being a cheapskate, it's the crappy Australian dollar

Thank you so much for the detailed response! I will try my hand at it this week. I would love to see someone attempt a Sandtrooper when the new stormtrooper comes out. Wish there was a casting store that sold pauldrons.
Quick update, be careful with the gloss paint, I just added a second coat of it because it was losing its lustre and it started to dry out into a milky white. O bad to scrub it off and it pretty much ruined the Jango head... :(. Hopefully I can find a cheap one

It's not ruined just get some acetone nail polish remover (at least 90% acetone no moisturizers or any of that crap) use a q-tip wetted with it to wipe away the bad paint. After you have it all off wash it under running water with soap to get the rest of the acetone off if you don't it could break down the plastic.

Ill try that, thanks. I've heard that acetone will eat into the plastic very quickly though.

On a side note, does anyone know what might have caused the paint reaction?
